One of the biggest flaws I see on the Offensive side of the ball (4 Viewers)

Down to 4th and 5th string WR and guys signed off the couch. Pretty good to not take any sacks given how slow they might be to get open..

But yeah, if the Oline didn't need help from the TE the middle of the field would be open for them to feast.

Bad talent evaluation for backup OLine.
Not really , more like Saldiveri has not developed as fast as they'd liked , could be due to injuries. Also remember even some back-ups have been hurt. Plus no team has all-pro back-ups. And no team has been hit harder by injuries than us @ OL

The biggest flaw that I see is that after only 2 games, MVS is close to being the leading receiver on the team already.
Dear Sweet Baby Jesus, please let us get a big-bodied, contested catch specialist WR. Sheed and Olave are good at their roles, but we have been missing this facet since MT13 lost his mind.

Thanks for posting this clip Rouxble. It's admittedly easy for me to write this from a 30,000 ft view, but there's a potential void for Carr to step into. However he panics with the outside collapsing pressure.

This is one of the things that made Drew an all-time great. He had this uncanny ability to shrink his shoulders/body in a collapsing pocket to find a window to throw.
I like how this one is supposedly on Penning for being driven straight back, but that looping DT closed down the escape off to that side and if Carr was to hold on the other DT was right there before the ball was even out of the frame. That whole thing was simply an excellent pass rush design and execution. If anyone looked lost though it was the center who stood around while the LG lost his battle

Carr has no scrambling ability and those heaves out of bounds is probably why he still getting a shot to lead a team....

So many others try and force a pass in a tight zone and have it picked off...

There would have been a lot more room to step up in the pocket if Penning didn't get driven back. Both DT's are working outside, the inside would be wide open. The play breaks down when Carr goes to look to his right and the biggest human being on the field is right in front of his face, I'm confident he could have gotten the ball to Kamara if not for that.

The intentional grounding happened when top rated RT Penning was driven all the way into Carr’s lap, no one blitzed on that play. Kamara was open as the check down, but Penning was driven so far back that Ruiz’ pass rusher blocked off an escape to the right.

Though I see your point, in real time it appears right decision, but two things I noticed.

Penning did eventually establish his anchor, Carr panicked prior to Penning stopping the defenders momentum. He could have stepped up into the pocket. Penning had the defender locked up as far as grip strength

I don't think Carr should have thrown it away like that, and as you and @Steve in Colorado pointed out there was still room to squeeze through. That said, I've given up on expecting that from Carr. He generally needs a lot of room to operate. Maybe if Penning doesn't get pushed back so far, Carr moves forward and dumps it off to Kamara for a few yards.

Bad talent evaluation for backup OLine.
Likely DA’s biggest flaw, is his ability to evaluate talent. What about Kubiak? Does he have a role? Not seeing we lack talent a tightend, backup qb, depth at oline and receiver is a head scratcher. The head coach has to take the blame, I hope Kubiak isn’t responsible for these bad decisions.

Can anyone explain our lack of slants in this scheme?

I guess I assumed that it was due to a lack of a big body guy who is good at running slants. But maybe it's just not a big part of the scheme? It does seem like the system doesn't really have a lot of options for countering the blitz and that running more quick slants would help. But, maybe the don't have the personnel to run it effectively?

I noticed that when Rattler was in at QB the offense had no answer for the blitz. I guess I assumed he just wasn't getting the ball out fast enough or they were locking down Kamara on the check down, but thinking back I don't think they they gave him a lot of quick options like slants so maybe it's more of a fault with the scheme than Rattler or Carr for that matter?

My best guess is that they don't feel they have the contested catch guys to get it done, that or they haven't trusted the interior of the line to keep those passing lanes clean. We also run a lot of condensed formations in the new offense, which makes it difficult to create the spacing for those 1v1 slants.

Last year, Carr threw 35 slants, good for 10th most in the league. Out of those, 14 went to Michael Thomas (despite Thomas only playing half the games). Thomas ran 24 slant routes last year, and he was targeted 58% of the time when he ran one.

This year, the Saints have only thrown 7 slants, with no player running more than 7 slant routes all season.
