Oops, that's my number (Senator Vitter)[MULTI-MERGED] (2 Viewers)

By the way, there are several notorious right-leaning posters who tend to be very active in many of our political discussions at saintsreport that have managed to somehow remain silent on this one. Guess they are too busy at work today. I'm sure they'd be equally busy if it had been Nagin.

You all know who you are that I am writing about. Pipe up, we want to hear your point of view.

And to be fair, I am not a republican hater. I am liberal, no doubt, but I don't believe in being on the Democrat team or the Republican team and hating the "enemy" team/party like they are the Atlanta Falcons or Osama bin Laden. I am embarrased of Democrat Bill Jefferson and of the fact the he was reelected and infuriated that this came out when he had such a high position and in a time when our area needed him the most.

Actually, a fairly right-leaning poster began the thread. :hihi:

And I'm awaiting the "omglolololol Clinton did it" essay.

I didnt care when Bill was with Monica and dont care that Vitter was with some high class ho's. Do you care if the CEO of a major corporation is cheating on his wife?

The fact is, politics is a major business. Does anyone truely believe whats being spewed out by candidates during elections? Who cares if Vitter was running on family values, we should know that all he was doing was telling us what was needed so he could move up in the political world.

If he does good by Louisiana, he can keep sleepin with as many hookers as he woud like.

No I don't care if the CEO of a major corporation is cheating on his wife, especially if I don't work for that corporation. But CEO's aren't elected officials that represent me and my state.

And if he's sleeping with hookers, he's not doing good by Louisiana.

I congratulated the good congressman for joining the company of Jimmy Swaggert in Louisiana politics (he's prayed about it and been forgiven) and pointed out his questionable acceptance of Jack Abramoff's Indian casino money to block another tribe from getting a casino (strictly on moral grounds, you understand)...what else do you want me to do? :dunno:

There's more than just you Dad's Dream. No names necessary.

You mean DC hookers this time, right? His infidelities were reported in reported in Salon and the Louisiana Weekly years ago.

In 2000, Vitter was included in a Newhouse News Service story about the strain of congressional careers on families.

His wife, Wendy, was asked by the Newhouse News reporter: If her husband was as unfaithful as former President Bill Clinton, would she be as forgiving as Hillary Clinton?

“I’m a lot more like Lorena Bobbitt than Hillary,” Wendy Vitter told Newhouse News. “If he does something like that, I’m walking away with one thing, and it’s not alimony, trust me.”

With all due respect, you really don't want to hear what they have to say. While you claim not to believe in either party's team, you are doing exactly what those parties want you to do--you're playing their game. If you want to call out this particular Senator's hypocrisy, that is one thing, but to try and make this a "conservative" vs. "liberal" (while avoiding the terms Republican and Democrat) is still a Republicrat tactic (in this case, I guess we could call it "Liberative"--with apologies to Bulldawg). This is nothing more than the same "gotcha" politics we have been getting for years. If we keep voting these people in, we will continue to get stuff like this.

Meanwhile, nothing is getting done in D.C.

Can we just fire them all and start over? Please?

Well done, Reb. Well done.

Oh, with regard to the Jena Choctaw, the federal Bureau of Indian Affairs has told both Vitter and Blanco that they have no jurisdictioin about a federally-recognized tribe's right to establish a casino.

The Grant Parish Police Jury recently voted to support the Jena Choctaw's efforts to put in a full-fledged casino at the Grant/Rapides Parish line, in the recently created town (go figure) of Creola.

They've already got the only gated trailer park I've ever seen there. :hihi:
