I called my dad to wish him a Happy Birthday on Dec 17.

He had ordredd a spicy chicken sandwish for his birthday. And he described, bite by bite, while i was on the phone iwth him what it tasted like.

It sounded delivious. I wish I could have tasted it through the phone.

He didn't hold back in his effusive praise.

I only got increasingly jealous.

And *that*, ladies and gentlemen, is how it came to pass that I said "Go fork yourself!" to my father on his birthday.

They just opened a Popeye's in the next town over and I made a bee line over there today to try out the new sandwich. It took exactly one bite for me to declare it better than chick-fil-a. And I like me some Chick-a-fil. The Popeye's sandwich is fantastic and now I'm angry it took so long for me to try it. It's not stab a person or body slam a middle aged women and go to jail good like I've seen in some videos (people are crazy), but man it is DELICIOUS. My wife and oldest son had one and it's unanimous. Popeye's over Chick-fil-A all day, any day.

Figured I’d weigh in on this chicken sandwich everyone is freaking out about. Not sure how y’alls popeyes’s operate, but the one here is slow as hell. That said, the sandwich I ordered was great. I got the classic and wish I would have ordered the spicy.

It’s been so long since I went to a Popeyes (had a couple of REALLY bad experiences) but I forgot how good those biscuits are. I’ll probably be back soon for a cajun version, as long as I have ample time to wait.

Might be my new sunday go to when i’m craving chick fila but they’re closed.
