If we draft him, and he becomes the starter, balls out, and we become relevant again...Shough in the 4th round.
Will we be buying Sheaux jerseys?

There are NFL draft boards that have Dart as QB2.WoW so many think Dart is better than Sanders??? Embarrassing to be a whodat right now....
My point being is that both QBs have been in a major conference the past two years. Isn’t it better to compare what both QBs have done in that time frame?
I think if you’re going to dig into completion percentage then we have to look at who the passes were to, how far off the LOS and the type of competition they played. Having a 70% percentage against UNLV vs Georgia makes a huge difference in college as well as are you dinking and dunking it down the feel of every pass is over 8 yards in traffic and you are throwing dimes. Completion % is a good stat but part of the picture. Brees through 2016/2017 completion % was historical, after it was because he couldn’t throw the ball down the fieldCan we agree that completion percentage IS the most important stat that either of us have mentioned? If we can, it isn't a cherry-picked stat. I think the concensus amongst most professional evaluators is that completion percentage is the best indicator of a QB's potential for success. It's how you don't end up with Anthony Richardson (not saying Jaxson is anywhere close to that).
Man, if ever a poll existed that needs TACOES.
FTR despite my comment, I participated in the poll.Nope. I had a feeling most people would've hit that just to see results and then the results wouldn't be a general close to accurate as possible representation of what QB people were thinking.
Whether its someone voting because they think Kellen Moore would like A over B, or they themselves think B over would be better etc.... I wanted votes between the two.
Pretty good turn out so far. 123 votes with Dart leading a strongly. I guessed it would've been closer.

QBs that collect sacks in college struggle in the NFL. His volume passing numbers are not going to reflect that. When I watch Sanders, I see a Hunter/Horn highlight real…and Sanders not feeling pressure and when he does he thinks he can outrun it…which he can’t. The moment he enters in the NFL he becomes one of the least mobile QBs. He’s pretty much Derek Carr. Don’t let his skin color and last name fool you.Shedeur almost had 3500 passing yards in 2023. He had 69.3% to Dart’s 65.1%. 27 TDs and 3 ints to Dart’s 23 TDs and 6 ints.
Dart had a solid ‘23 year, make it 2 good years to Sanders’ 4. Dart has better mobility than Sanders, or utilizes mobility more, but he’s not a better QB/passer than Sanders.
Many factors have to be considered, such as competition and talent on your team. No one goes by raw numbers, if that was the case then all these qbs in lightweight divisions putting up big numbers would be going in the first round.EDIT: If this were a blind poll, didn't include names, and the choices were 70.1% completion percentage / 134 career tds or 65.7% completion percentage / 81 career tds, the results would show a preference for what actually matters.
Player A- 18,722 career passing yards and 155 career passing touchdowns
Player B- 14,327 career passing yards and 134 career passing touchdowns
Which one is better?
The answer shows how flawed this is cherry picking 2 stats without context.
Dillon Gabriel (Player A) vs Shadeur Sanders (Player B)
The point seems to have gone right over your head. The purpose was to show just how skewed a blind (Player A/Player B) comparison with 2 metrics that really don’t tell us much on who the better QB is. The exaggerated comparison highlights this. Blindly posting career passing yards and touchdowns with zero context does little to nothing for who the better QB “prospect” is. Same with passing yards and career accuracy. No, THIS post is disingenuous. The comparison over 4 years for 2 players is one thing. You tried to slide in the stats for a player who played SIX YEARS of college football.
Such a distracting, troll post when people are trying to have a serious conversation.
