I picked Dart in the poll, but don't want the Saints to draft either of them.

Living in Colorado, I was able to watch Sanders quite a bit, both on the field and in interviews.

My biggest concern with Sanders is can he manage adversity? Could he handle losing without being a malcontent and possible early success without premature overconfidence?

This would be the first time in a long time he wouldn't have his dad coaching him and that has me worried. I sense no desire for personal growth when I watch his interviews. No humility at all. Ward comes across much better in this regard.

I would personally pass on QB early & target someone like Kyle Mcord on Day 3 w/one eye looking ahead at the 26 class. But gun to the nads, between those two, id go w/Dart. The main reason is because he seems to fit Kelllen Moore’s prototype at QB.

Hurts, Herbert, Dak…those dudes are mobile game managers who have big play ability in their back pockets. Dart is that exact type. I think 9th overall is stupid high for Dart, but he’s a QB & the rules seem to be different for them. If we finally trade back & land in the late teens or the early 20s, id be cool w/that. We’d get more picks & a potential starting QB of the future at a better value.

EDIT: If this were a blind poll, didn't include names, and the choices were 70.1% completion percentage / 134 career tds or 65.7% completion percentage / 81 career tds, the results would show a preference for what actually matters.
Now adjust for one playing in the toughest conference in FB and the other basically playing D2

Shedeur almost had 3500 passing yards in 2023. He had 69.3% to Dart’s 65.1%. 27 TDs and 3 ints to Dart’s 23 TDs and 6 ints.

Dart had a solid ‘23 year, make it 2 good years to Sanders’ 4. Dart has better mobility than Sanders, or utilizes mobility more, but he’s not a better QB/passer than Sanders.
Are you comparing the level of competition that the two played against though?

I figured that was from Dan Orlovsky. I couldn’t tell if that’s Orlovsky’s feel or if he charted it from game film. Don’t see it in any advanced team stats or pass/snap stats.

Sanders’ OC was Pat Shurmur. His scheme is primarily built around short-intermediate throws on quick reads. The throws would be based on coaching. His scouting reports doesn’t say he’s a checkdown QB. He goes through his reads and finds the open WR. He’s one of the top sideline throwers hitting over 75% of boundary throws outside the numbers per PFF.

Never really got the Sanders hate outside of how people feel about Deion. I think Sanders is much more cut out for the better NFL career all things considered. Not too excited about any QB in this class but if we do take one, especially in the first, it'd have to be Shadeur. But I sure do love tacoes...
Does anyone else worry that if we do take Sanders, and his dad gets an NFL HC job, that Shedeur would go to his dad's team?

Shedeur may be the best pro ready QB in ths draft. I don't want the carnival he would bring with him but I'd risk taking him at 9.
