Most do, but most did much better in college, so we have a sense they can do it. I grant that most QBs struggle their first year, so Rattler may come around. I disagree about Drew. He didn’t have the same problems, but I understand he is exceptional. I just read lots of excuses about the surrounding cast, yet Carr and Haener have essentially had the same cast, yet most people don’t give them that latitude. Taysom and the olinemen have been hurt most of the season. Rattler has good traits and he may develop, but for every QB that have these problems and do solve them, there are 10 or more that don’t. In the meantime, Carr is far and away the best we have today. You can say this for just about EVERY rookie quarterback that has stepped foot on an NFL field. Sounds like you’re talking about Jordan Love as a rookie, and many others. Mind you, up to just recently Jordan Love was one of the leading QBs in the interception category. Young QBs have all sorts of issues even beyond their rookie season. I tell you what: go back and look at Drew Brees during his rookie year, then copy and paste what you said about Rattler. It’ll be spot on. Rattler is simply learning his lessons like everyone else before him, all of which will be helpful as he continues to develop in the NFL.
