Ryan Clark Calls Sean Payton a Thug (1 Viewer)

Yeah yeah. Bad mouth him all you want but I take Sean back in a heart beat
This is what people don’t understand. He’s an alpha in the mold of a Bill Parcells. You see these jokers now like the cat in Miami. Payton’s old school. He’s going to do what’s best for him and his team. Does not care one lick about an individual or their feelings or what the media thinks of him for that matter.

It's funny that you mention Miami and Parcells. There's a good chance it goes the same way.

It annoyed me when Clark brought up Brees kissing more babies. Truth is Brees never got benched because he handled his business. Wilson hasn’t been good for a while.
When you are winning, kissing babies is being a good person. When losing you just look like a pedo.

The second RW was available for a trade it had train wreck written all over it.

When Denver mortgaged the franchise it was obvious that train was on fire.

When Payton took the job it was apparent the train had nuclear waster and explosives on board.

I was shocked Payton was open to being the conductor. Either his ego is really convincing or he is completely blind.

My only question is if Payton can find a QB. If he can, he’ll be competing for rings. If he can’t he wont survive two more seasons.

Also, mad props to Pete Carroll. The Seahawks have been able to reload and compete with castaway QB’s thanks to the RW trade. Won’t matter unless they can turn the corner but at least they have hope.

Congrats to the other 29 teams that avoided RW, Watson and Carr. The rest of the NFL should be grateful the Browns sunk eleventy Billion in Watson because it may be the only thing keeping that team from winning multiple championships.

Honorable mention to the Saints for being courageous enough to try and step in front of all 3 bullets. That last round got them but it was the least deadly of the 3.

Somehow I feel like if Russ wasn't black then Clark wouldn't have made those comments. I'm a black man, but I do get frustrated with everything becoming different because of a person being black. Sean had Teddy here and everybody loved him. He brought in Jameis also. And while here, Drew was playing at a HOF level. You don't scream at the mistakes of a 1st ballot HOF guy who helped to change the entire perception of a franchise and uplifted a region after devastation. Drew earned a certain level of treatment with not only Sean, but the fanbase and organization and with his teammates.

I don't think Russ being black is an issue as he's about as clean off the field as a player can get. The point being left out by most fans and analysts is that Russ is playing terrible football. I watched two of their games and dude is not meant for Sean's system. He is not a pocket QB. He's a read one or two guys then run the scramble drill kind of guy and he's no longer just running circles around people. The parts of his game he should have been developing over these years to prepare him for his athletic decline he obviously didn't do. So now he can't run from people and he can't play in the pocket so his career as a top notch QB is likely done unless he goes to a team that implements a system that caters to his style which, at his age, I don't think a team should do.

SP only wanted to step away for a year bc he was done with us. Not sure if many people know this, but SP wanted the Chargers, but they were unwilling to pay him a big contract. He settled for the Broncos. They were never his 1st choice.

It makes me wonder what their plan is at QB too. Do they already know who they can get as his replacement? There really is no coming back from this, so they better have a good plan to replace him.

I was reading a lot of comments from different sites yesterday and I can see this turning out really bad for sean. Vets wont be happy with what he's done and there's a lot of different racial accusations being thrown about also. I can see him ending up in a position where free agents do not want to play for him.
Nah, and if there were FAs that wouldn't want to go to his team for that reason, then Sean is better off without them. This “woke” culture is temporary and won’t survive the long term test of the real world. Just win and there won’t be any whiners with hurt feelings.

That's not being woke tbh.

If he was still in NOLA, he would be able to do anything because he’s earned it here.
But to Broncos fans, he’s not “Sean Payton.” He’s a highly paid coach that’s underperforming.
He's gotten a lot more out of that team than Hackett got last year. Denver was nothing last year with mainly the same team. He will win there. KC is dropping. Can't pay other guys with Mahomes big contract. Denver will be on top in next 2 years if he gets a QB

I would give Denver back their second round pick to get Sean Payton back, but he wanted to leave. He will likely try to get a QB in the first round. I hope he trades up before the draft and somebody else trades up in front of him to get the QB he really wanted. At least that's what he will say three years from now.

Underperforming? How so? Compared to what?
