Saints at the top of Davante Adams’ wish list [Raiders trade Adams to Jets for conditional 3rd ; Jets paying Adams’ entire remaining salary] (4 Viewers)

Pretty sure Haener has the same amount of up side that rattler has. The perceived difference is all hearsay at this point. The actual difference is just hype right now.
Points on the board definitely matter

Haener put up a measly 9 points in the entire preseason. Rattler? 37.

Both played with a similar quality of player.

How about accuracy, do we know that comparison?

Jamarcus Russell could throw the ball 70 yards from both knees on the ground.

Brock Purdy doesn't have the strongest arm but he's purdy darn accurate.

Accuracy>Arm Talent

Kinda like the great Drew Brees, eh?

Rattler has an elite arm that Haener does not have. That's what I mean by more upside. Haener has a fine arm but Rattler can make throws that Haener and most other QBs can't make. But that doesn't mean he is going to be a better QB.

I used to think drafting O line was the most boring thing ever. It's still not like jump out of your seat doing fist pumps and doing high fives but I love it. Now it's more like a dramatic slow nod of approval and appreciation.

Call me a nut job but I wouldn't mind using a draft every few years just throwing bodies at the O & D lines. Build up a 2 deep that could handle an injury. Having good/great play in the trenches just makes everything so much easier. Having a great WR is awesome but if the QB can't get a pass off then what are we talking about? Having a good Secondary is great but if the D line can't get after the passer then it doesn't matter. You could have Deion and Rod Woodson at Corner but in today's game with no pass rush they're going to get cooked.
Yep, think about the OL studs we were blessed with for most of the Payton-Brees tenure. We still managed to land great skill players, but we always went OL or DL in round 1 or 2.

With this OL, legs matter as much or more than arm strength.

We will probably be 2-5 by the time Davante even gets to see the field, let alone play with Carr.

I was all for getting him, but this just seems stubborn now.

Draft capital should be paramount for a team in our position.
Naw, I think the football Gods love to see SaintsReport in full turmoil, so I fully expect Spencer to start and be 2-0 against TB and Denver. You know, just to send the board into craziness when Carr is set to return

If Rattler goes 2-0, Carr isn’t getting off the bench.

As much as I can’t wait to see what Rattler has I can 100% guarantee you this won’t happen. Rattler can be undefeated and won both games by double digits and Carr will get his job back and there will be no debate internally otherwise
