I think despite what some have decided about her, she understands the importance of the Saints to the city and the fans, and losing isn’t something she’s content with.

Same here, it took her awhile to act (too long, but that seems to be the Benson way) but she did act.....but the job isn't truly done until Loomis is not part of the decision making any longer, I mean she's already made him a lame duck GM/executive.....

Here's to better days for Saints fans!!!!

Hopefully secondary coach. His scoring defenses were middle of the pact and his defenses created turnovers ranking was bottom 3rd of the league. Both are averages over the duration of time that he was our DC

Loomis deserves some credit. He was fond of Allen, and believed he was a good successor. Sometimes our beliefs can be so entrenched that they are hard to see past, combine that w/ ego and Loomis could have held on to this belief for another year.

New coach, new QB. Roll the dice in 2025. No more defensive coaches tho, team does best w/ offensive minds.

i get it. But some info ( locker room lost ) isnt "earth-shattering/source revealing"

Its corroboration of what many had seen, yet we are constantly told "not to trust our eyes" - by the very folks that HAVE access to info. So once they go down this path of not divulging info until green light given, fans will take exception. Im one.

He could have easily reported on this weeks ago when it was lost. Shoot, that may have sped up todays development.

Loomis being the executor of Gayle Benson's will almost guarantees he doesn't get fired, not in the normal sense of getting fired anyway. More than likely he will move to a different executive role on the business side or he will be allowed to retire

He likely would just be moved to an executive VP role, but he could be fired. And it's my understanding that Dennis Lauscha is named as the executor of the estate and Loomis only steps in if he dies before Gayle.

Got the text notifying me about this right as I had to walk into about an hour meeting. So I'm behind the learning curve here. All I know is that my poor wife was so miserable after yesterday's game...she didn't want to talk about football, the Saints, none of it.

She was so happy when I texted her about DA. "REally, REALLY???? REEEEAAAALLYYYY???? OMG THAT IS GREAT"
