He has sources to protect. If he wants to keep getting info, sometimes he has to play ball and not let stuff out until he’s given the all-clear.

i get it. ( i said yesterday on Andrus post game tweet thread )

But if you are intent on holding back info from print, simply to maintain access, that would have a significant impact on decisions ( a la Locker room lost was weeks ago ) then why sit on it and wait for the "ok" ?

Saints dont pay his salary, subscribers/readers do. You erode trust of your audience, you find yourself looking for employment.

Its a fine line, i understand it. But at some point the "news" is waaaaay bigger and the story must get told.

Access journalism is an issue in sports reporting.

Fwiw, I have it on good authority that Allen didn’t start Rattler, he was told to.

lol ok

I’ve never known the front office / ownership to interfere in coaching decisions but if that’s true, that’s actually concerning. Let the coach make those decisions and if they aren’t delivering, make coaching changes. Which is where we’re at.

Also, it will be nice for all those Saints fans trying to gaslight themselves and others into thinking DA was something he was most certainly not, that they can now Please stop!......at least about DA.....

Rizzi as interim is fine, Rizzi also had guys downing punts inside the 5. He's more of the fiery type tho so we'll see how this pans.

This is great news, unfortunately what i'm hearing about Olave is not great news.

Even w/ out latest concussion I had feeling they'd allow him to walk. The amount of money WR's are garnering on the open market vs what he provides would have been too costly. Let another team overpay

Don't think he had the info. If he did, why would he have reported last week that Saints may not move on from DA?

It’s exactly what Haslett had been doing to Stefanski with Deshaun Watson until his injury.

sigh.

I really think the young man should consider retirement. He has waaaaay too much life to live and entirely too young to put his well-eing on the line for this game.
