It is unfortunate Thomas got hurt last year and if the Thomas and the Saints part ways that it would end this way.

Shaheed needs to be paid as this team's number two wide receiver. Thomas is a possession receiver. The Saints do not have another possession receiver on their roster. If Thomas goes I would not be surprised if the Saints go after Renfro.

I think AT Perry can be a great possession receiver in time.

Interesting that Duncan concluded his column by saying Thomas had earned his place in the Saints Hall of Fame. He did point out a few low moments for Thomas in the article, but finished by saying he was one of the best to wear black and gold.

Sad ‘divorce’ for a player who had the potential to become one of the all time greats at WR. I always loved his passion and determination to be the best. I truly believe the Saints treated him well and but for the injuries he would not be moving on. Sadly, though, he has become so bitter that even his supporters, like me, are tired of his antics! I wish him well and hope he has success wherever he goes but am glad the soap opera will be someone else’s challenge!
