On paper we have a roster that should have a legitimate chance at playing in the NFC Championship Game.

Coaching and injuries will likely dictate whether or not that can be a reality.

We have said this the last 2-3 off-season's only for injuries to decimate an otherwise promising season.

Moreau is a David Thomas type. Don't expect George Kittle production. But expect a steady, smart, & solid all-around tight end.

It hasn't been his strong suit over the last two years, with 10 drops on 98 targets (10.2%). I'm thinking he fills mostly into Trautman's old role, maybe with less blocking if Johnson gets coached up this season to handle more run blocking snaps.

Still, he is a solid signing for us due to his familiarity with our QB and scheme, as well as his durability over his career.

With our RB Corp, I'm more excited about a great blocking TE than if we'd have landed a great receiving TE.

Seems like a lot, especially in guarantees, for a guy who might not play this season and is a back up.

There aren’t many tight ends in the league who wouldn’t be a backup behind Darren Waller. Come on man.
