Saints to interview Aaron Glenn on Jan. 10th [Nick Underhill: Glenn probably gets an in person 2nd interview in a couple of weeks] (1 Viewer)

Wouldn't it be something if Loomis pulls the rug from under us with a huge swerve...?

My concern is that defensive coaches are notorious for not developing QB's into franchise level QB's. However, when a QB developes into a franchise QB it typically happens under an offensive head coach.

We have no franchise QB.

You also don't win superbowls anymore without one. Nor go deep in the playoffs.

Hiring a defensive head coach, no matter how good they are, feels like sticking a knife into the idea of getting a coach that can make us a superbowl contender in their tenure, however long that may be.

You mean like Belichick and Brady? Tomlin and Roethlisberger? Siefert and Steve Young?

It's an issue, but it's not like it can't happen. You just need to find the right player to go with the right OC and QB Coach.
