Who won the Marshon Lattimore Trade?

Depends on whether Lat miraculously becomes healthy from here on out... In any case, we won because it was obvious he didn't want to be here anymore and we got anything for him.
I'll be shocked if he plays 60% of the games left on his contract. Seems like a fair trade. Just stay away from Philly to get a good deal

The "interesting" part of all of this will be figuring out how to get under the cap for 2025 without continuing with as much of the can-kicking as we have done. It has been so much of our DNA for the past 16-18 years (and to an extent some years prior to Payton/Brees' arrival) that we're locked into continuing it to some extent. I guess the key will be figuring out who we CAN do it with comfortably and making nickel-and-dime moves to move on from those we can't. It will probably be u-g-l-y.

I do think some can kicking will be required for next year and maybe some in 2026 but I think at that point we will mostly be on the other side of it unless they do something dumb before then.

And I think the can kicking is fine if you are a contender and if you are doing it with guys in their prime. But doing it for guys like Cam, Hill, and Demario appears to be a mistake. I love those guys and Demario and Hill are still producing, but we needed to start rebuilding a few years ago. And while I think Carr is an okay QB and paid about at his level, setting yourself up to where you likely have to keep him for at least another year seems like a bad idea. But maybe a head coach candidate will like the idea of having one year of a solid veteran QB guaranteed?

With this deal done, I'm wondering how our salary cap for next season is going to be now?

It doesn't matter. We have so many issues we need to fix so it might be a year or two before we see a good change.

LFG! That's a good haul of picks.
Loomis always giving a pick back in trades. Our 5th for their 4th is almost a wash. Maybe he is playing the odds that we get better and they get worse. Would have liked to get that Miami 3rd instead of Washington's.

I don't understand how people are comfortable with losing good players.

How much you want to be that Lattimore won't have any hamstring or injury problems in Washington?
This is why DA was fired. He lost the locker room. Guys checking out with "soft tissue" injuries is the indicator. Not shockingly Sean Paytons Broncos have the least amount of "soft tissue" injuries. Soft tissue = emotions = soft player Had Latt played vs Carolina we probably win.

Not any better. Per over the cap, he will count $31.7 million in dead money next season.
