I'm not convinced legislation is going to change anything - it hasn't so far.

What legislation are you referring to?I'm not convinced legislation is going to change anything - it hasn't so far.
Just in general. There are plenty of laws forbidding these atrocious acts, yet they still occur. They need a new heart not a new law. We also need an environment that helps people flourish. What legislation are you referring to?
I think social media is making the kids depressed. If you scroll on facebook all day and see everyone posting their highlight reels, you can start to feel like your life sucks. It also seems like Tiktok is hacking their brains and making them believe garbage. The real problem in this country we need to take of is mental health. The staggering percentage of youth that are suffering from depression is the real pandemic of our time, but no one in the national government is taking it seriously. Until they do, expect incidents like this to continue no matter what kind of gun control legislation is passed. Common sense legislation could help (though our government often doesn't do a good job with common sense), but it will not eliminate this. Addressing the causes of the mass increase in depression is the big, and admittedly very difficult step that will stem the tide.
So, no laws have ever worked or helped. Got it.Just in general. There are plenty of laws forbidding these atrocious acts, yet they still occur. They need a new heart not a new law. We also need an environment that helps people florish.
i agree somewhat, but you don't think other counties have many youths with mental illnesses/depression? the common demoninator is guns. The extememe pro gun people are against ANY legislation that prevents gun ownership. And the normal pro gun people buy into the 'THEY ARE GONNA TAKE ALL OUR GUNS AWAY!!!" lie. Most gun owners don't want mental health to be a reason not to own a gun. just take the woman who recently shot up the church, she has mental health issues a mile long (documented and forced institutionally), among family members trying to get help from law enforcement, but that didn't disqualify her form legally owning a gun.The real problem in this country we need to take of is mental health. yea, whats the point of murder being against the law, people still get murdered, so the law is useless..So, no laws have ever worked or helped. Got it.
Except for that other time in history 80 years ago. And the one before that. And the one before that. But the issue is a heart issue. Laws don't change hearts.
Reading prophetic end time scriptures compared with today are sobering. It's like no other time in history.
Tell that to the 88 million dead during WWIIReading prophetic end time scriptures compared with today are sobering. It's like no other time in history.
I wonder if you had this “revelation” during the pandemic years as well?Grant you that we do not know the time of the fulfillment of the Revelation, but having written my dissertation on end times and the book of Revelation the signs are definitely pointing in that direction. Specifically, Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38 and 39 sure looks close at hand, and both of these are end-time related. We shall see I reckon.
I'm referring to specific prophetic scriptures being fulfilled that happens before the endtime scenarios come to fruition, not its comparison in history.
then how do explain all the other 1st world countries that have laws that do prevent this type of thing from happening on a daily basis?
That's a good question, tougher on crime? Stronger families with stronger male role models in the home?then how do explain all the other 1st world countries that have laws that do prevent this type of thing from happening on a daily basis?
Is that what you think is happening in Europe and Australia? That's a good question, tougher on crime? Stronger families with stronger male role models in the home?
