Trust in Dr. Strange. There is something there. He said giving up the stone was the only chance at winning.

I always felt that the Thanos we saw at the end of the film wasn't the "actual" Thanos. I felt that the idea that he would "sit and watch the sun rise over a grateful universe" was not literal. That would be too damn cheesy it seems and not very "Russo". He took way too much damage to his body to walk away unscathed like that, even with the Infinity Stones IMO. I feel that there is something else at work there. Perhaps in some suspended state, alternate reality or realm, dram state, etc.

At the end of the original Infinity Gauntlet storyline, Thanos lives out the rest of his life on a farm without the gauntlet. I think he may have used the space stone to return to Titan and then the reality stone to make it look how he wanted it to when he first set out to fix things.

If he used the time stone to reverse the damage from the axe then it would have reversed the damaged to the gauntlet and himself as well.

Maybe he’s able to focus it more locally? (Just spitballing)

I watched again the other night and paid closer attention to Strange. His face looks like he knows exactly what he’s doing. That could also confirmation bias, of course.

There's a theory that since Dr. Strange could see the timeline/possible future where Thanos is defeated, he must not be all the way dead. The Ancient One said that “I’ve spent so many years peering through time, looking at this exact moment, but I can’t see past it. I’ve prevented countless, terrible futures. And after each one there’s always another. And they all lead here…” and that she could never see past the moment of her own death. Here's a page discussing the Ancient One vs. Dr. Strange, and if it's not the exact page where I first read about this idea, it covers largely the same ground.

Since Dr. Strange seems to have seen past the snap, then he must just be mostly dead.

Prediction.. He managed to transport himself to the Quantum realm just as the snap occurred. He is weakened, unable to return, and Scott finds him. They use the time thingies in the Q realm to return and find help for Dr. Strange (Ancient One?) Then it's save the universe as usual.

I literally theorized about that exact thing. She couldn't see beyond her death but Strange could see how we win.

If he went to the quantum realm than how come he dusted?

Maybe he only partly dusted.

I don't think that would work like that. Plus the directors said Ant-Man was lucky he wasn't dusted as the quantum realm didn't protect him. So if that's the case then it doesn't matter if Strange teleported there because he just would have finished dusting there.

His body dusted. We saw in the Doctor Strange film how he became separated from his body.

What's up with Thor getting a new eye? What does this eye do?

Also I was talking to a friend of mine who is a comic fan and he told meall this happens in the comics and that the other Thanos daughter is key to what happens next.

And last I remember seeing the blue chick she is telling Mantis she needs to see her on Titan... is this where she would see Thanos after the finger snap?

Strangely enough I felt for Thanos. As odd as that seems he does truly believe in his cause and is trying to save all the races. He seemed to honestly care for his daughter.
