Spoiler Spoiler Thread: Avengers Infinity War (1 Viewer)

Strangely enough I felt for Thanos. As odd as that seems he does truly believe in his cause and is trying to save all the races. He seemed to honestly care for his daughter.
Thanos is really the universe's cosmic Hitler; except for genetic eugenics it's just half of EVERYONE.

Sacrifice. The will to sacrifice for the greater good was through line for the film.

Thanos had the will to sacrifice half of Titan to begin with. He had the will to sacrifice the daughter he loved most for the good of the universe.

Cap was unwilling to sacrifice Vision. Peter was unwilling to sacrifice Gamora. Gamora was unwilling to sacrifice Nebula. Scarlet Witch was unwilling to sacrifice Vision. Only by Thanos' unstoppable will were any of these players willing to be pushed to the same level and depth of sacrifice.

The only player who displayed any semblance of will was Dr. Strange who was willing to let Peter and Tony die to protect the Time stone. When he gained the knowledge of 14,000,605 alternate futures, the greater good was giving up the Time Stone and saving Tony, which meant sacrificing half the universe... hopefully temporarily, to save all the universe. This is, of course, conjecture on my part that this is all a part of the master plan for Dr. Strange.

Yet, when the time came, Peter did pull the trigger on Gamora, except Thanos used the reality stone to make bubbles come out, And Scarlet With destroyed the mind stone and Vision, until Thanos used the time stone to reverse the damage,

Sacrifice is indeed a recurring theme throughout the film. And the good guys did everything they could to not trade lives, but when they were pushed far enough, our heroes were willing to sacrifice their loved ones for the greater good.

Yeah, you can definitely see where the guy is coming from, even if you don't agree with it. Thanos is not like some batty Bond villain who's doing over the top evil stuff for no discernible reason. I also though Hela and Killmonger were excellent too.

Can't wait for the BD release already. I wonder how many times I'm going to watch it that first week...

Watched it again this weekend, this time with my wife and daughter. Seeing their reactions was worth it.

Also noticed a few small details I missed when I saw it in the theater. One was pretty neat in that you can see Proxima Midnight gulp when Thor arrives in Wakanda. Really small and subtle, but very neat.

You are lucky sir. My wife would laugh me out of the room if I tried to get her to watch a movie like this. I’m always alone for these types of movies or shows when I do watch em.

My wife and step daughter love these movies. Of course, my wife is still mad at how this one ends... She had to leave the theater.. she wouldn't watch the end credit scenes.

WT? are you changing avatars everyday? i don't handle change well
I had a few in mind, and learned that they were a bit.. much.. for the system.

So, I have this for now. I'm not sure where I want to go with it, but it was time to change... been years.

I don't like to see myself as evil, but the all seeing eye has its appeal.

Quite egotistical for a moderator.

Every time I watch this movie I notice something new I missed the first few time (I may need to work on this)

When they ask Tony who could find Vision and he says Steve Rogers, Dr. Strange turns to the side and says "oh, great," assumingly knowing what happened during Civi War.

This tiny attention to detail blows me away. At some point in the future there has to be some type of documentary released on the MCU. At least I hope so.
