Spoiler Spoiler Thread: Avengers Infinity War (2 Viewers)

Something wonderfully insane happened yesterday and it actually does belong in this thread. There's this guy that will come into my place of work and he's always talking about conspiracies or religion. Well he came in yesterday right before we closed and said a couple of things, the second one doesn't really fit in this thread but I'll mention it anyway. First thing he mentions is about how we're losing a lot of our jobs to machines. Now I'm only half listening but after that part he says that we should just go ahead and kill 2/3s of the population. So Thanos is better than this guy! Well after that nugget he got crazy. He brings up Jurassic Park and the part where the guy goes into the porta potty to take a dump. Now I know he wasn't doing that, he was hiding in there but I haven't said a word to Thanos and didn't want to correct him. He then says "what kind of stupid dinosaur eats a guy while going to the bathroom? No wonder they went extinct." Then I had to walk away so no one could see me trying to not laugh. He left right after that.

Age of Ultron was on the tv today and I heard the word "endgame" used

Tony is justifying his creation of Ultron by recounting when aliens attack through a hole in the sky, or something like that, and describes it as the endgame. Cap is emphasizing they must stick together and Tony says they will lose. Cap responds they will "do that too"

Might be nothing, but the use of the word jumped out to me since it's been made important by Strange. Could mean the Avengers will need to come together in some way and "lose" together in order to save the day. Seems pretty in line with the rumor mill. Now that I'm thinking of it, maybe I've heard this thrown around and it isn't even an original thought. Ok good talk then...

I originally thought it would be Endgame, but in an interview the Russo bros said the title wasn't spoken in Avengers 3. Of course, they could be lying.

you're talking about the title right?

I was just speaking on the significance of that term and when it was used in a previous Avengers film.. it gave the Ultron scene a slight ominous tone watching it again

Sorry, misunderstood your point.

another representation of the inverse nature between Thanos and the Avengers

When Thanos stabs Stark, he savors the moment by expressing his admiration and respect for his foe. This moment leads to Stark being spared after Strange bargains for his life.

When Thor stabs Thanos, he savors the moment by recounting his promise to have his revenge and expressing his disdain and hate for his foe. This leads to the death of half the world's population.

Antman and the Wasp spoiler...

It ended exactly like I thought it would, with Scott in the Quantum realm when the finger snap happened. Phase 1 of my theory is complete. ;)
Where he meets Dr Strange who slipped away to the Quantum Realm before turning to ashes?

So on one of the extras one of the Russos state that Thanos permanently damaged the Gauntlet and himself when he did the snap. And since I just got the 4K and am able to really look at it the Gauntlet looks totally messed up. He was still able to use it to teleport away but I bet no one could undo the snap with it, even Thanos if he wanted to, which he wouldn't.

could you use the time stone to repair it?

Anyway, I'm waiting until it comes out on Bluray before I buy it.

Same, I can't wait for the Bluray version to come out myself. I saw it in the theater, but they screwed up the captioning machine so I missed a good portion of the dialogue in the movie. I'm thinking it's been long enough that it would be out by now. Will check to see when it will be available.

Edit: Just checked and release date is August 14. Right around the corner. :cheer:

I've had the BD preordered for a while now. I almost want to break down and get the digital and then give away the digital copy that comes with the BD.
