Star Wars: Andor (2 Viewers)

First three episodes done and I’m happy so far. Well done!

Made it through episode 1 this morning. It's a slow burn, but really good. Acting is on point, they are laying out some mysteries, and it's an interesting look at how people lived and survived in the age of the Empire. It definitely feels different than anything else we've seen in this universe. Far more gritty.

My kids loved Mandelorian - it was violent at times but it didn’t seem real. And they loved the storyline. But they’re 7 and 9. Is Andor more mature than Mando?

Yes. My advice is to watch it first and you, as a parent decide. It comes down to you as the parent. But, this is the darkest SW show yet, IMO.

Do you really need the subtitles to understand what's going on? It's pretty obvious. I think it's a great affect.

I second the watch it first advice, I’ll also point out that it’s really not “fun”. This is drama, not space opera. It’s far more Daniel Craig James Bond than Mando.

They dropped 3 episodes for good reason, it was definitely a slow start, but the back half of 3 starts ramping up big.

After episode 3 I have a “because you watched Andor” recommending R1. Guess I’m gonna have to watch R1 after every episode.
