He's still a mid QB. Carr absolutely could be mid if our starters were healthy.Close is not enough to beat Mahomes, and the Niners are more talented with a better coach than us.

The problem started with Juwan Johnson totally wiffing on the block of Alford who blew the play up and got between DC and Olave forcing DC to not pump but hold back the throw. 2nd I think that either Patrick or Fuaga needed to chip Judon before setting up for the screen instead of just letting him rush free. But neither of those things happened and DC had to pull the ball back. When he tried to dirt the ball Judon was on him and he could not throw it in the direction of CO's feetThat was such a poorly executed play all around. Judon was on him in less than a second and Carr had nowhere to go with it. He probably could have held it and taken a sack, but how often do passes get batted like that in the backfield? It was likely going to Olave's feet if it had gotten around Judon.
Yep , I'm guessing you are one of those Carr hater raider fans that just join to come on here and bash him. Thought we got rid of all of you lotRaiders fans said the same thing when he was our QB. They said he needed an offensive line, he needed WR's, he needed RB's. They got him all those and he led them to ONE winning season. If a QB needs all that to succeed, that team needs a QB. As much as it loathes me to say it, Mahomes dragged that team to the championship in 2023. He had very little at QB, but they won in spite of them.
Quite a few of them actuallyyet mid teir QBs won super bowls
It all started with JJ wiffing on Dee Alford, he makes that block DC probably gets the ball to CO and does not have to double pumpLooking at it, I may have misunderstood what Underhill meant. I tought he meant he blew the block on Judon (he said missed the block, not missed the block on Judon) but you are right he isn't close to Judon.
Johnson blew the block on #20 who then broke in front of Olave which is what caused Carr to double clutch. If Johnson makes that block, it looks like Carr may have had just enough time to get the ball off to Olave before Judon gets there.
But, I'm not sure why the play left Judon that free. You would think either Patrick or Fuaga should have chipped him before going out to block on the screen. But yeah, either Atlanta knew what was coming or they just got lucky and made a play call that was perfect to blow up the play.
Although if Johnson makes that block, Olave might have a lot of open space to run in.
SMH you do know that DC in the last 2 games has lead the O to the should have been game-winning score inside 2min in both games only to have the D let them down. When will people understand it NOT ALL ON THE QB IF A TEAM WINS OR LOSESDerek Carr has this team in the same position as the guys you are making fun of while making about 30 million more dollars. The saddest attempt to talk trash Ive ever seen.
We are talking about the Raiders here. The Raiders and the draft is like some sort of Greek Tragedy. You act like Carr hasn't been on our team for a year and a half already. You don't have to warn us about anything. Good luck with your future quarterback draft picks.
What makes Purdy “mid”? His almost 70% completion percentage or his 110.3 passer rating?Brock Purdy came close. I would absolutely consider him a mid QB.
Nah. Its where he was drafted. Took Brady a little while to shake that too. Is what it is.What makes Purdy “mid”? His almost 70% completion percentage or his 110.3 passer rating?

Well, didn’t mention anything about Carr. This was a defend Brock Purdy post. He’s a really good QB.Where do you draw the line? Carr is 72% and 103.9
Andy Dalton outplayed him the last time they met in New Orleans. The Raiders never got past midfield, shoot, I don't even think they made it to the fifty.Tbh I am not sure he is any better than Andy Dalton.
He is surrounded by talent. Like Flacco and other mid tier QB’s who did well. He isn’t exactly elite, like Mahomes. He’s a game manager. What makes Purdy “mid”? His almost 70% completion percentage or his 110.3 passer rating?
