Anybody surprised by this...?

Nope. Explains why nothing was done, it wasn't even brought up. No way they pass on that otherwise.

Nope. Dude just set back trust in police and the system back by lord knows how much.

Based on what the two jurors who have spoken out since the judges ruling, it's easy to see why the AG wanted to hide the grand jury testimony. The AG had a built in "it wasn't me" card by presenting ALL the evidence to the grand jury and allow them to make the call on charges. Instead, he chose to give them partial evidence and limit the scope of the investigation and only provide evidence to support the conclusion he was looking for. So now, not only does he not look impartial, he looks like he is complicit in the coverup.

This AG being black just goes to show that it isn't necessarily about race when it comes to police and corruption. It is the entire system. The system is setup to insulate itself from accountability.

Seems more than just complicit - it’s his cover-up. Police may be covering up too (almost certainly), but his hands are red

mane I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss race
This is a racial tactic as old as the country (and yes, I’m sure others do it as well)

white plantation owners did not bring enslaved people into the big house and give them authority over other enslaved people because they liked the cut of their jib
I’m not saying this AD is acting like a ‘house _____’ (5 letters ending in “o” - not exactly a slur, but still didn’t want to write it out); but there’s scant evidence he’s not.

mans let me be perfectly clear- like anyone else, a person of color can have whatever philosophy they want. Ben Carson, Clarence Thomas, Candace Owens, that Arizona cop/***** supporter who always gets thrown into police brutality discussions- they can think/say whatever they want. But when the... “establishment “ amplifies those voices for specific regressive reasons, it’s entirely about race

Exactly. Let's be clear who Cameron is. He is Mitch McConnell's favorite protege and is set to replace him when he steps down from the Senate (because unfortunately, I don't see McGrath beating him next month).

Some of us know this through life experience. Even family members.

Otherwise, Franz Fanon wrote a whole book about it. Not an easy read, but the psychology behind a Cameron or Brandon Tatum has been known for centuries.

Imo, these types of suits should only be allowed if cops are willing to give up qualified immunity. If they want to sue, then they should be exposed to personal liability as well. I don't like the idea of one party being able to sue while the other party has no recourse.
