The Building is on FIRE and Mrs Gayle Benson’s CEO is watching it burn. (2 Viewers)

Micky Loomis is a good man and a great accountant. But he is not a football man and has no vision for the future. He owes his loyalty to Mrs Benson and the fans, not his Coaches and Staff. News is that he is considering bringing back Dennis Allen and hiring ex-Coach Jon Gruden who is under suspension by the NFL for Racism. What positive effect could that bring to a team that has already lost respect for its Head Coach because of how he mistreated a Black Quarterback whom they ( the players) respected and believed in? Does anyone care how this could affect the culture of the team, the loyalty of the fans of color, and the signing of highly talented- high character black players in Free Agency?

It’s time to move on. We cannot afford to keep stumbling, we must keep pace with the rest of the league. WAKE UP! It’s time to bring in a real Fire Fighter and Builder, to put out the fire and repair the damages

It’s time to hire the best GM available and give him all the Keys.

We are at a crossroads, if the wrong decision is made it may be decades before we win another Championship, or maybe Never.
Hyperbole much? <smh>

by what measure is mickey loomis one of the top GMs in the league? seriously. what big brain moves has he made in the last decade? the only thing he's known for is his cap management which hasn't made the team better.

we played the easiest schedule in the NFL and mostly again backup QBs. the irony is that we beat maybe one team that was above .500 the entire season. this season was a total disappointment.
We actually beat two teams that ended up having above .500 records, as far as I know, Indianapolis and Tampa who both ended up as 9-8 teams. Although I do wonder how well or competitive we wouldve looked or played overall if a few teams we did beat (Chicago, for one) if their dangerous, duel-threat QB's who really resuscitated the team's chemistry late in the season had gone up against our defense that struggled mightily against mobile, scrambling QB's.

Easy schedule or not, and it certainly was, 9 wins isnt a complete, total disappointment and I won't apologize for being glad and content we finished this season with a winning record instead of another 7-10/8-9 team. Do I think we should have won 2-3 more games like Green Bay, maybe the road Falcons game if we hadn't continually kept making stupid mistakes and turning the ball over, like Carr throwing a pick-six when we we're up, 7-0, and driving deep into Atlanta's red zone and his INT destroyed the fragile momentum we were trying to build up.

The early-season Green Bay road loss where we blew a 17-0 halftime lead due to some SOB Packers LB late-hitting and tossing Carr around, hurting his ribs, and then acting like some wannabe, tough-arse maternal fornicator, which lead to us missing a potential game-winning FG near the end is why we're not in the post-season. Not always does one game in a long season usually stand out in hindsight, 3-4 months later, as THE ONE that cost us a chance at the playoffs, but that particular loss remained a bitter sting long after it was over.

That actually proves his point
If we lost to all the bad teams maybe it would be the fire thing OP claims

The board continues to frustrate itself bc posters are trying to out umbrage each other and then get super confused that the new governor isn’t stepping in to declare a state of emergency

tbc , things aren’t good, but we are daily subjected to hair on fire threads
We’re a mediocre team - that’s the story

Its easy to have stability when sean Payton was the coach and the real GM.
Look, I am no fan of Dennis Allen and I REALLY hope we make a change, but this statement is the exact reason I believe us fans have given Sean Payton way too much credit. Bill B. had Tom Brady, arguably the best to ever play the game and he got 6 Superbowl victories and made it 3 other times. Sean Payton had (arguably) the 2nd or 3rd best to ever play the game with Drew Brees and we only went to and won 1. Yes, we were screwed a couple of times, but there's no guarantees if we didn't. Sean, at minimum, should have brought this city at least 3 superbowl wins with a couple more appearances. Also, because he was essentially the GM, you have to blame Sean for all the crap free agent/draft picks we've made. It seems like we always strike gold in the 3rd round or later and even Undrafted rookies, but we crap the bed on most of his 1st round & 2nd round picks. Sean Payton left because he saw the team was getting worse and he saw the cap hell that HE helped put us in.

Unfortunately, the problem starts with Ms. Benson. She’s not Tom Benson and Mickey and Lauscha hold the keys to the kingdom. I’m starting to guess that is the main reason that Payton was looking to get out of Nola after Tom passed away.
That's a SPICY hot take! I love it

Said it before the FO is way too comfortable, they know Mrs. B is not going to upset the apple cart and they are old enough to retire when she sells the franchise. They are gonna ride the train to the end of the line,.

You could give many of the posters here a brand spanking new car and they’d complain about the price of gas.

You can please all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time.

I don't like piling on DA with everyone else. I don't trust the mob mentality.

But I think it's telling that DA is taking so much criticism and it seems there isn't a single player speaking up.

agree

that it's a disappointing season, but we are above .500, the house is on fire would be like the panthers.

Yup, as I've said before....context is important....I guess maybe some don't think the team grossly underachieved? I don't think I was watching the same Saints team then.....

The title needs to be changed. I thought Saints camp was on fire, lol.
