The continued overreactions by fan base and media is embarrassing (2 Viewers)

At this point I’m okay with elevating Rizzi . Kamara likes him so give him the gig. If it don’t work out we can fire him and try again next year.

Loomis just gave DA 2.5 years as head coach and the owner had to step in to stop. Meanwhile anyone who had any idea about football knew it was an awful hire from the start.

And some how you think Loomis would fire Rizzi after 1? The guy would likely be here 2 years minimum even if he goes 0-17 in year one.

At this point, we pretty much have to go with McCarthy and just hope Loomis starts making good decisions to setup a positive future and making the job attractive for the next coach.

The Saints have been told no or been passed on every coaching cycle in our existence.

Joe Brady is young and the greenest of all the options. High failure rate.

We do have some cap hurdles. Get over it.

Aaron Glenn went to New York where he played ball and got to bring a friend option. So what. 75% of us were crying we didn’t want him either.

Other organizations made terrible hires and nobody is criticizing them. I mean I don’t want the Pete Carroll and Russel Wilson option. PASS.

I don’t want Brian Schitneuer, I mean that’s equivalent To Mickey just hiring kubiak.

People are sky screaming and it’s all absurd. What’s worse is the media leading the crap narrative.
The folks here are just upset that the snow is gone.
They'll get over it.
😉

Excellent post. It’s amazing the ignorance of those that will scream to the skies.

Agree, at least McCarthy knows what Super Bowl players and coaches look like. Although I find him lacking in personality, I think he can get us started in building a team that can get back to the playoffs. People need to realize how long it might be before we are relevant again. Baby steps.

There's so much incredibly wrong with this statement that it could really easily be spun into the men removing themselves are just smart as its the scenario that matters most.

And our scenario is that we're single mother with 5 kids from 5 different baby daddies and no way to support em and no child support coming in.
Yes, you are right

You know, hiding your heads in the sand does not change the fact that everything around you is burning. Why is this so familiar to another public figure, boy I just can't put my finger on it.

This is literally the opposite of hiding your head in the sand. I would equate hiding in the sand to just believing the shallow iq narratives being pushed on you.

Nah, I'm just using my eyes and looking at what's around me. Having two well sought out coaches reject the organization is a pretty bad look no matter what way it's spun, and no amount of pure, unfiltered, no MSG copium can change that.

Yea I really envy the days of having a 41 year old qb and an expired head coach that won a Super Bowl 13 years ago that literally quit on our city.
I hate that clown reply and don't use it (still don't understand why a site that has such high standards for respecting fellow posters' opinions has it, however I digress) but...
come on...really? Have you considered that that "expired" head coach was running into the same FO brick walls that currently exist? Have you ever changed jobs and it wasn't about "quitting on the company"?

Ya its awful. No sense in looking else where for an explanation. Sometimes you just got to take things that are face value. The simple truth is that 2 hot candidates (brady is debatable, so at least 1 hot candidate) did not want to pursue with the Saints after virtual interviews.

We may not know why, but there is something they simply did not like. Maybe it was the cap. Maybe Loomis was putting on stipulations. Either way they felt they wouldn't succeed here other wise there would've been two more interviews.

There's just simply no excuses. The problem is in the front office even if we don't know what that problem is.
