At this point I’m okay with elevating Rizzi . Kamara likes him so give him the gig. If it don’t work out we can fire him and try again next year.

What choices have they made? How about almost every draft pick since 2018. Picking Dennis Allen. Not replacing PC as OC. Signing Derek Carr, kicking the cap down for the last 3 years. There has been plenty of choices that have been made that where poor. You want to stick you head in the ground and pretend like things have been great go for it. Not telling people what they can or can't do. For some reason it feels like some Saints fans just think the team should be devoid of any criticism.

The Saints never had a chance on Vrabel and Johnson the clear top 2 candidates. Rather you belive it or not AG was considered a top candidate.

Look at the coaches we have left that we have shown interest in. Most of them have had zero to very little interest by other teams. Then you have young OC's telling the Saints no thank you like Brady did.

It's very fair to point out that the Saint's where not a desired destination, and that some very good coaches turned us down because we are not a desired destination.

Unlike some people in this thread I am not pretending like I know who the Saints should hire. I think AG would have been a fine choice, but to say for sure that he is not is just stupid IMO. Why are we making post stating opinion as fact.

Also never said the Saints still can't find the right coach. Don't know why some Saints fan just assumes that having any criticism of the team means that I think everything they will always do will be horrible. Still a Saint's fan after the last 4 years because I love them team and I want them to get better. I still belive that it can happen,

Loomis just gave DA 2.5 years as head coach and the owner had to step in to stop. Meanwhile anyone who had any idea about football knew it was an awful hire from the start.

And some how you think Loomis would fire Rizzi after 1? The guy would likely be here 2 years minimum even if he goes 0-17 in year one.
 
At this point, we pretty much have to go with McCarthy and just hope Loomis starts making good decisions to setup a positive future and making the job attractive for the next coach.

Agree, at least McCarthy knows what Super Bowl players and coaches look like. Although I find him lacking in personality, I think he can get us started in building a team that can get back to the playoffs. People need to realize how long it might be before we are relevant again. Baby steps.
