The Mandalorian discussion thread (2 Viewers)

I suppose I can look this up, but for the sake of discussion, is there any significance to the red shirts having weird multicolored armor as opposed to Din having silver (or I guess it’s colorless beskar) armor/Paz having mostly blue armor etc?

They're just house/clan colors or colors of a specific Mandalorian organization like the Nite Owls. Since the Children of the Watch are descendants of Death Watch, I'd assume Paz's blue armor is a shout out to them. Or maybe those are just house Vizsla's colors. Pre Vizsla wore blue as well.

Din didn't have a clan at the start of the series so his armor is unpainted. Or maybe he just likes the color of beskar.

Okkkkay, that was a pretty awesome episode:

But, it must just be me, I felt a bit underwhelmed with the physical acting and general acting of Jedi Jar dude, they could have made that whole order 66 stuff better imo. I didn't dislike it but just wasn't my thing. I still loved all the stuff with Din, Grogu and esp Bo.

I thought he was flexing a bit.

Just to add to this. Was his old armor - pure beskar? or just partial? They kept showing him have to repair it, like it was busted up. Maybe had some beskar parts, but mostly wasn't. If it was pure beskar, that Mudhorn wouldn't have dented it.

So, as he was becoming "beskar rich", he was literally wearing his money and just went with the all 'silver' look. I always took it as him showing off to the others in the clan. Mr. Fancy Pants.

Now, you see it in his upgraded ship, which is all silver. But he keeps the brown clothing, which also went with his original busted up armor.

As he became more successful, he replaced ordinary pieces of the the armor with beskar. When he made the big haul of Imperial stamped beskar, he replaced the majority of his armor with it. I think he didn't paint it for the opposite reason you think. He thought that he had no "house", therefore no color scheme. Now he is a house of two and just hasn't bothered with colors.

Am I the only one that thought he was Mace Windu for a split second?

Yea, briefly, but I figured he was too young. I didn’t know for sure until after the episode though.

Nope, didn't cross my mind. After all, this fellow has hair on his head, so knew right away couldn't be him. :haha-rire-395:
Seriously, though, could tell right off he was also too young. This is the moment of Order 66 so we couldn't be looking at a younger version of him than Episode 3, and Mace decidedly looked older in that film than this fellow.
