The Nascar Thread (7 Viewers)

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be watching.

Saw Hocevar won the truck race Friday. He's on fire this month. I have a feeling he's gonna be in a Cup car in another year or two at the most.

Dinger is the old man and still celebrates wins like it's his first time, lol. He's a trip.

Carson was running top 4 yesterday before Austin Hill wrecked the top 5 on a restart.

Indeed. Hill can be an arse sometimes. I'm not sure it was intentional, but he knew he was restarting in front on old tires on a track with little grip. That race was such a mess tho. Oof.

Yeah it was - the pace car tuned a lot of laps!

Love to see Chastain get back to P1. He had the long run speed. His burnout and post-race celebration was great. Just a clean race from start to finish. Too bad for Reddick. His pit crew screwed him with the loose wheel. He had a rocketship and probably the only other car besides MTJ who could have kept pace with the 1.

Chicago street race next week!

Apparently, it was a murder-suicide, and Johnson's mother in law is suspected of shooting her husband and their nephew. So sad.

So, things are getting going for the street race. Xfinity just finished P&Q and top 10 running now. Then Cup will start theirs soon. The road course looks good so far but I think there will be some unique challenges in certain spots on the track. The pit road exit will be super tough because it funnels right into a turn and traffic will make getting on smoothly very tricky. There's no place to get off the track, so drivers have to be aware when a car spins out in front of them, and there will be more than a few.

I'm not sure we'll see a lot of full yellows because there will be cautions in sections of the track.

Really interesting seeing the cars running the streets of Chicago. Hope this I something they can do annually. Maybe move from city to city each year.

And, Creed just destroyed his car in the final lap and was running second. Now he goes to a backup car and to the rear. Yikes.
