The Nascar Thread (5 Viewers)

This is cool.

There are no lights, hopefully they can get it all in. Going to be really interesting if the track dries enough for slicks - it will be like F1, pit timing to change will be critical.
I think they started way too early. Still a lot of puddles and even treaded tires aren't getting much grip.

And DirectTv who has been having a dispute with our local NBC channel just shut it down while I was watching the race. ARGGG!

That was so awesome - what a race SVG ran! I had him in my pick’em, and Ross last week, two in a row! SVG was just outstanding.

I loved the course and the racing. Late start after torrential rain almost ruined the weekend but in the end, they got a chance to run it and it was freakin great.

I loved the shot back down Jackson Dr. as they came to the last turn before the S/F line, with regular traffic going on behind the race.

I believe they're supposed to return next year. Not sure if that was an option or definite, but I'd love for Nascar to do an annual street race. The layout of the track was actually well done and just an amazing backdrop.

There are a lot of good candidates for street races in the future. They should do at least 1 per season and maybe add a second and rotate cities. Some fun places could be Miami, Dallas, Seattle, SF, LA and Vegas. I think Detroit and DC could be some other possibilities. I'm just happy Chicago was on board. The track, the city, the festive atmosphere. Just sucked that the rain was so bad.

Truck race running late, had lightning delay and about to start on a wet track at Mid-Ohio RC. Gonna be a mess, lol.

Single file starts also.

Xfinity and Cup in Atlanta.

RC for Arca/trucks and superspeedway for Xfinity/Cup is a nice mix.

They are going to be lucky to get to the halfway point of this race due to the weather.

Solid race so far. That track is getting some of those guys loose. The battles up front are pretty fun for sure.
