McDowell going to Spire? Damn. Also, there's some rumors that SHR is gonna close up shop. Wonder who's gonna buy their charters.

Racing at the Lady in Black at Darlington this weekend. Truck race was pretty good. Xfinity about to start with zero laps of P&Q. It's probably gonna be a mess those first 10-20 laps.

Reddick snagged the pole this morning and will lead the Cup race tomorrow.

I’m with Blaney on this one - the 24 put them to 3-wide but he came up into Martin’s line as they came out of the turn. The 19 was still there.

Yeah, that was 100% on Byron, he damn near did it again later in the race but let up because Larson.

Reddick forked up too. I think if he concedes there, he still has 8 more laps to make a pass, and I think he does. If he makes that move on the last lap, then understandable. But 9 laps to go, oof.

Sucks for Chris. Hope he'll get his before the season is done. He should the way he's been running.

Larson put up a huge time in Indy 500 qualifying. He's sitting at P6 and looking very likely he'll make the fast 12 which would mean he's in the main race. Will be interesting to see him run both the Indy 500 and the Coke 600 in the same day.

His 4 lap average was 232.563 mph. Phew!

Hopefully the weather cooperates today. It was a mess yesterday. Literally had cars and trucks floating around in the flooded infield. Lol. Nascar basically told the teams they could check and make approved repairs to any damage caused by the flooding.

Holy sheet, Kyle Larson is gonna make the final 6. He can't do worse then the front 2 rows. He's got the fastest qualifying lap at the moment.

Just saw the highlight on FX1 of that rain yesterday. HOLY CRAP! They must have some good drainage for all that to be gone today.

Another reason to hate Kyle Busch

Edit: While Kyle did cause Stenhouse to wreck I I believe intentionally. Stenhouse is the instigator of the fight after the race. Stenhouse should be suspended a a week or two with Kyle getting a fine for intentionally wrecking Stenhouse.

Just for accuracy, Stenhouse did fence Kyle in the previous turn, which is why Kyle retaliated. Stenhouse was full of sheet when he said he didn't touch Kyle.

The post-race fight, no way is Nascar suspending either of them. Coke 600 is next week. Ain't nobody missing that imo. The Stenhouse comments post fight were funny as hell, but the sucker punch was bad.

The guys trying to choke out Kyle bothered me more than anything else. You choke me like that and I'm forking swinging.

I gotta say though, the race, while it had its moments, again highlighted the issues with this car. You ain't passing the leader unless you have a much faster car.

What speaks volumes is when Joey spent 20 laps trying to put Bubba who was clearly slower, a lap down and couldn't do it.

There's some passing, but it's way too hard unless it's on pit road or during restarts.

No appreciable falloff for the soft tires didn't help either.

NASCAR should suspend Stenhouse to send a message to all the other drivers not to do the same thing regardless of what race he was supposed to compete in. The intention of the punishment is to not only punish the offender but also to discourage others to commit the same foul.
