The Science of Fasting (2 Viewers)

Good genetics?
Eh. They are decent. My parents are both tall. My dad 6’ 1” and my mom 5’ 7” so able to carry extra pounds better than shorties. But even when they don’t eat well or work out, while they gain weight, they’ve never really fallen into that category of fat or obese.

Plus I work out a lot so there’s that, too. Then there’s also that I love to eat but I can’t eat large portions.

I went and picked up Vietnamese food after reading this 😂
No kidding., fasting a few times a week had gotten me to the point where I wasn’t going up or down. So when I started dating I knew that was going to change my routine so I watched the weight and was prepared to tell her I was going to fast. But I actually lost about five pounds and was having trouble putting it back on. And I was eating until I’m full. All the food looks relatively healthy but it has rice noodles etc. so I thought it would be about the same, calorie wise. But I guess that many be why you don’t see many obese Vn folk.

I’m happy with it because it was already one of my favorite cuisines. Having said that, we are going to have to diversify a little better lol. She loves when I cook Italian or Cajun but we are usually at her house and it can be a chore when the pantry is 90% Asian.

Ran into some interesting info recently.

Apparently fasting is associated with gallbladder issues. BOLO symptoms of gallstones and see your Dr. if you need.

I had slight gallbladder issues into the first 3 months of intermittent fasting, but this is because of your liver and gallbladder adjusting to how much bile your body needs for digestion. Many people have gallstones and do not ever realize it, but if there significant changes to your diet you can experience symptoms of those gallstones. Now that I routinely intermittent fast it is no longer an issue.
