I don't think anyone is worried about it and I don't think anyone doesn't want him on the team. In fact, I don't think anyone is unwilling to give him a shot to actually be a starting QB. People are just saying that he has a ways to go before he is able to be a starting QB and the odds are against him given his age and the fact that he hasn't done it yet. But, all of us hope that he can do it.

He's worth what we are paying him just to play TE, H-Back, special teams, and run the Read Option, even if he had no skills to be a QB. So, I would just ignore those guys.

He also said, that maybe his agent may have mentioned him when talking to teams about other players that he represents but no serious discussions took place. So, I feel confident in saying that there were no negotiations to sign Taysom Hill by other teams.

Yep. It was the plan I'm sure. And according to Hill, Loomis told him right after the season ended that they were likely to put the 1st round tender on him and he knew what that meant. At the same time he said he was happy to get the money he had gotten to continue his role and didn't seem to have an issue with the tag.

The #Saints 2-year deal with Taysom Hill is for $21 million with $16 million guaranteed. It also includes another $1 million in earnable incentives. Very, very nice numbers to keep Hill in the fold through the 2021 season.

Forget getting in 10 or so plays a game. That kind of money means he's gonna be playing a whole lot more.

If no other teams were interested then how did he leverage the Saints into paying him $17,000,000 for one extra year?
