I don't understand this team...

You can see the flashes of brilliance, but they just don't put it together.

It's like they haven't played together yet this year.

It's very frustrating.

He's right. It definitely ranks up there. They can't blame injuries because no one is doing their job it seems.

I really think they didn't expect Carolina to win so they mailed it in for this game. What's concerning is that they have done the same thing multiple times this season. Can they turn it on in the playoffs and go all the way? Sure, but for this team, it's just as likely that they fail to show up next week and lose.

I know there was hope that Carolina could pull it off, but I didn't expect the panthers to win either.

It comes down to pride... You've let this team come into your house, two years in a row to close out the season with a win for them.

Sure, pull Drew, pull the starters, whatever... But they played a full 3 quarters before getting benched and they still just tanked.

The int was acceptable... Not sure if it should have been a penalty or not, but it looked like Moore was tripped going for the ball. Had his feet stayed under him, I don't think the int happens.

The rest of the game... no excuse. They just stunk the place up.

It's like invasion of the body snatchers NFL style.

Yeah, if Moore doesn't trip, it's first and goal, we score a TD and it's a totally different game. The same is true of the Jones fumble on the goal line. If Ivory or PT are in they score and it's a totally different game. It's the little things that kill you in the NFL. Some of it was injuries to key players and some of it was lack of effort and execution. But, in the end, you have to beat Tampa at home even if you did pull your starters in the 4th.

Anyway, I'm not too upset because it was a meaningless game. All that really matters is what they do next week in St. Louis or Seattle. And that could either be to show up and destroy them or play a bad game and let it come down to the wire. I think they will show up and kill them, but I'm not totally confident of that the way I was last year.

The NFC playoff field in general seems less scary than last year's. AFC seems much stronger. Am I just imagining that?

in the replay, it looked like the Bucs defender tugged on his jersey just enough to possibly call it holding....of course, Fox never bothered to show it again

either way, the Saints looked like a team with nothing to play for

which was pretty much true....not that it's a valid excuse or anything

it's playoff time.....i hope the Rams or the Seahawks are ready for some major butthurt

This. The DB grabbed his left shoulder and tugged down on it right at the time he cut inside on that same shoulder, pulling him right to the ground. No call, 1 replay of it, no mention of anything by the commentators except how awesome the Bucs are and that specific INT wasn't Brees' fault. No crap it wasn't his fault.

Why the screen pass....it's obvious the screen just doesn't work or have the magic like it did last year. I don't understand why we run it multiple times a game. It also looks like chris ivory is not the answer for us at RB. The guy can't seem to make it threw a game. I love it when he is running the rock because the guy is a dump truck with legs but I don't think guy could make it a whole season if he gets 15-20 carries a game. You could tell we weren't fired up for this game but one bright spot was Arrington. The guy looks like he has good hands he snagged some tuff catches. I wouldn't mind seeing him opposite of Colston if he keeps it up.

I've never been a big fan of the camp beasts or the guys who looked good on certain plays or in preseason. But man... I wish they would play Charleston and Junior more. These guys seem to make plays every time they get on the field. I have not been impressed with Alex Brown at all this year.

Alex Brown has been a bit of a disapointment but honestly I didn't expect much from him. I agree Charleston should be starting in my book but GW knows his players a little better than me. I do wonder what's goin with Greer and Porter lately. Greer seems to give up a TD every game and Porter get's beat in converage a lot.

Yeah, I stated in another thread, its like ever since the Seattle game everyone realized that Greer is short. Porter to me was never a shut down corner, but a heck of a play maker.

Of course,if we can't get more pressure on the QB, Deion Sanders would look bad back there. We made freaking Max Hall look like Dan Marino
