This was Carr/offense’s best game and their turning point (2 Viewers)

Looking forward to going over the all 22, got spoiled by the Thursday night game because the Prime Vision (or whatever they call it) is practically the sideline all 22 so I could look at it immediately.

One random play caught my eye as I’m watching the condensed replay, it was a 3rd and 3 completion to JJ for the first. It was the exact same play we ran on 3rd and 1 against the Bucs that no one loved because Carr went deep to Shaheed, except this time Carr went to his progression instead of the alert and picked up the first.

If we can protect Carr and Carr can trust and throw the concepts, I like the direction we’ll be heading in.
Yup, Players execute = Good Pete. Players don't execute=Bad Pete

Just like last year. Fools gold. It’s just enough to keep management thinking this might be the week we turn it around. What wins like this do is make the Saints make shaky questionable moves, like trading to get 2 firsts and giving up too much. I worry that we’ll make a trade, giving up early picks thinking we’re a player or two away when in reality we just play in a horrible division and play some really bad teams.

Just made it back in and even though I missed the game, I'm loving the result and what the box score is telling me. I'm planning on watching the game tomorrow but this looks like a great win. I'm hoping this isn't a case of the team that we are playing but I don't care today. A win is a win and even better when it is a "good" one.

I don’t know if there is a turning point. I still think what I thought before this game. We have a ton of talent on offense. If we block well, call plays for players and not just run plays, and don’t beat ourselves with penalties…. We should not only win this division…. But we should be a top 10 offense doing it. We did some of that today. The ability has been there. We have to consistently take advantage of that ability. In short I’m not seeing a turning point…. It’s more like the cream gradually rising to the top. Hopefully that growth trend continues. Would be a shame to waste all this talent again.

If you beat anyone in the NFL it's a big deal. To win on the road by 11 in the NFL is even bigger. We saw some good things today. Most importantly, it was clear that the vets kept control of the locker room during the time off. The team didn't pack it in and it could have easily gone that way.

There is still a lot to clean up and there is more meat on the bone if we can turn the corner. We are 3-1 on the road this year. We need to learn to consistently at home now.
We’re 1-2 at home, 3-2 on the road.

I'm going to wait a few more games before I get excited. I got excited after the New England game and yeah....

It’s a fair thought, but regardless even AK said that we have as good of a roster than we‘ve ever had. So it makes sense to try your best and win with it.

I think you’ll be pleased, I need to re-watch it without paranoid expectations. Carr was sacked and fumbled, and it could’ve ignited a “here we go again” mindset, but they battled and closed the gap Quickly from 17-7 to 21-17. The difference being TDs from the redzone as opposed to 50% Fgs.

Carr had a great game, arguably his best so far as a Saint, but there is no way no one out there will convince me that the real reason the Saints played so well on offense wasnt b/c the incredible balance they had. When you can run the ball the way the Saints did today (i believe north of 150? i dont remember the exact #), you can beat anyone in the NFL. If they maintain this level of dedication to the running game, this team can 100% be a great offense overall.

I still haven't figured out how we keep squandering one of the best home field advantages in the league. We really do need to get back to winning consistently in the Dome.

We can do a lot for our confidence by playing well at home vs the Bears...then playing an ailing Vikings team... couple weeks later the Dome should be rocking when we play the Falcons (correction: We're AT Atlanta for that game. We play Atlanta at home in Week 18)

38 points from all offensive scoring. Everything was clicking and going the offense’s way today. This is the explosive offense that we expected to see coming out of TC.

We finally see why Carr was paid 37M per year. 70.4%, 310 yards and 2 TDs. Big hookups to Thomas. 2 deep completions to Shaheed, one was a TD. He didn’t have trouble going through progressions and hit the open man at ease. Carr could’ve had a bigger day if not for a couple drops by Olave.

Blocking was great in run and pass protection. Offense was 3-3 in the redzone. Taysom did Taysom things. Carmichael’s playcalling was consistently good all game.

This team can easily take this division if they stay consistent like today’s performance going forward.
I sure hope you're right. I felt Carr and the team were finally communicating effectively. And my gosh Sheed! And Taysom! And Alvin! And... Love that it was a TEAM acting as a cohesive unit that won this game.

Definitely a "victory lap Monday" here. (Flag up, Saints T on.)

WHODAT!!!

The Colts aren't very good
Neither were we going in.

Denver wasn’t very good, but they beat the Chiefs. This league is filled with matchups we’re a woeful team can show up and beat a great or even great on paper team. Good teams beat inferior opponents. That’s what makes them great.

I’m glad we showed out on offense. Players needed to see what we could do when we’re more in synch as an offense. This builds confidence.
