they have done this now 3 times this CL. That "mojo" is real. Liverpool HAS to enter this matchup at least " thinking" that a full 90 may not be enough.

Its pretty remarkable when you think about it- doing once, okay. Twice, hmmm. Three times? Where you come back from what looks to be certain loss? Crazy.

City gave up 2 goals in 3 min in stoppage time. NUTS.

I just watched from MAhrez goal on, even though i knew the outcome and it was still crazy to watch.

hard to fault MC - both RM goals were eye of the needle types - a header off a glancing header? are you kidding?!?

in highlights the only meh part is grealish not pulling his weight

still think Liverpool takes it, but can't discount RM relentlessly generating their own luck

in most instances, you can say a defense "switched off" - they lost some focus, thinking "we got this" and give up a goal and momentum.

That wasnt the case here. To execute those, in the 90th, is simply massive ability. The cross by Carbajal, after running for 90 min, was perfect. Pace, trajectory etc.

To borrow a slogan from MLB- " these guys are good".

yeah im on other side of that table. ( always have been )

I dislike PKs straight away. Sure, you have matchups where BOTH sides close ranks in ET looking to get to PKs. Playing it safe.
But this is my own personal belief - i never wanted the game to end on PKs. I wanted to keep going til one side just petered out and a goal(s) is/are scored.

I see the benefits, time-wise, but thats all i see.

Id really love to know what the pros think. After all, they are the ones putting in the effort for 90 min both mental and physical.

Couldn't really complain about a Liverpool - Man City final, but a Liverpool - Real Madrid final is just that much more appealing.

We don't have a general football thread and the Premier league on is dead so I'll say it here. Liverpool 6-5 over Chelsea on pens in the FA Cup Final! Quadruple talk is silly at this point with how City is playing in the league but Liverpool have a real chance to win the CL against Real Madrid on the 28th.
