UEFA Champions League (1 Viewer)

We don't have a general football thread and the Premier league on is dead so I'll say it here. Liverpool 6-5 over Chelsea on pens in the FA Cup Final! Quadruple talk is silly at this point with how City is playing in the league but Liverpool have a real chance to win the CL against Real Madrid on the 28th.
I just listened today, but Chelsea hasn’t been a strong squad in maybe 2 months and if Chelsea had that many shots on goal, the Royal Benzes get at least 3 in the net
I’d assumed Salah was back to form (and never got definitive word on the injury), but I’m not sure how much juice Liverpool has left
They’ve played a crazy number of matches this year

Salah left the pitch in the 33rd minute or there abouts. Chelsea played quite well actually, just mostly countering which is their forte against Liverpool anyway. Real is a different story, I'd never take anything for granted against them but I do think we have enough to beat them on paper. It should be a fun final, so happy they beat City, the last Liverpool CL final against Tottenham was a borefest to be honest. LFC scored twice but the game was so cagey, as it usually is when it's two clubs from the same league. I think it'll be that way at first but will open up. Both teams want it, both teams believe they have their hands on it. Both teams have been there before. Should be fun.

though both are very different, they both seem to flip a switch around the 60' mark
the 'on paper' might be the issue - RM is riding such a lucky streak that they must feel destined
otoh, liverpool seem to be distracted a but by the Quad (i'm might be laying on a narrative, but it sure seems like they're missing a gear in the last 2 weeks or so

Nah, you're right Liverpool are tired, the opening 20 today was the best we've played in quite awhile. I think we'll have that same burst in the CL final and if we don't score, I don't know that we'll get through it like we have lately. Having said that, we always find a way to win from behind, especially lately, so going a goal down isn't what I want but it's not the end of the world either. It'll be a fun game though, and that's what everyone wants from a final. I wouldn't count Liverpool out ever.

UCL final tomorrow!

Kind of an interesting set up going into it. Liverpool were potentially looking at locking up a quad championship season but fell short of the EPL title due to City's comeback last weekend. Real Madrid have been resting since locking up LaLiga a few weeks ago. Both teams seem to "turn it on" at some point during a match, usually early in the second half. Both teams possess amazing attacking options and good to great defenders in certain positions but can often give up goals they shouldn't. Will be interesting to see if that plays out tomorrow. It is a cup final though, so they may be tentative starting out.

I think Liv not chasing the quad helps them a lot
Wish I knew what the real status of Salah is

Yeah, I'm curious how much the let down of not getting the EPL title will impact them. Or does it motivate them more?

Seems Thiago also has a knock from last weekend. He really does a great job linking the play from the midfield.

I'm interested to see what Liverpool do to combat Vini Jr up and down the left flank. TAA is a critical part of Liverpool's offense, always feeding balls into the box from the right wing, but if he has to worry about Vini Jr getting in behind him, how does he push up as much? Maybe Liverpool put more focus on attacking from the left?

Does anyone know why delay?
They had non ticketed fans jumping fences and ticketed fans having to wait hours to get in after they closed gates to thwart non ticketed fans bumrushing.

But UEFA...cmon. How many of these??? And you still can't figure out how to operate crowd entry?? Ridiculous

20000 fans trying to enter thru 5 lane bag,/personal check.

Like a damn Saints game lol.
