I have been looking in vain for some tangible benefits that the weekend's shenanigans had on the front lines, but is seems to have been more of the same?

here is one. RuAF defenders were getting attacked and the only means of comms was on Telegram ! And the RuAF air support never came.

UAF forces gained a foothold and now occupy left bank of Anotovsky bridge.

A long thread by General Hurtling on the subject of what comes next for the Russians.

IMO, his first point about the soldiers, is the most damning. Doesn't matter how smart your leadership, the soldiers remember who wagner is/was. They are the ones that shot those that retreated. Beheaded those they deemed traitors. I really can't see any positive having them integrated into the regular army. They would need to keep them seperate, their own brigade or whatever.

Ok, theory....This goes down, Luka hears rumblings about a coup in his own country taking advantage of the situation. A coup that includes some of his own military. He jumps in a plane and leaves. Talks to Prigo and says, Come to Belarus, be my PMC for hire. Keep your international enterprises going but not under the thumb of putin. In return, you can be my insurance that no one will try what you just accomplished. And you no longer have to send your men to die in Ukraine under orders from shoigu/geransimov.

Not much short term benefits, however the long term benefits is that Russia military in Ukraine is now pretty much a defensive-only force. Because aside from Wagner and a few airborne formations, the Russian military seemed totally incapable of mounting any type of offensive.

Imagine trying to win a football game when you can only play defense. Better be the 2000 Baltimore Ravens.

there are "rumblings" appearing that MoD is planning for yet another mobilization in the next 2-3 months to go on offensive from "several directions"

which is insane, since they cant even manage to competently execute an offensive from ONE direction.

More cannon fodder.

I did see a report somewhere this morning that mentioned that the 8,000 Wagner's who went to Moscow will not be taken into the Russian army. That they're going to Belarus where they're planing to set up a camp for them.

A bit a drama from Ukraine. These two tweets from Defacto, a Canadian woman James Vasquez was seeing in Ukraine named April.

Followed by this tweet from James Vasquez. The first tweet he's made for months.

On Edit: Vasquez's account and that tweet were erased while I was writing my post.

I still had it up in tab though and here it is:

James Vasquez
@jmvasquez1974

The fact that she would say I’m trying to kill her is a very serious accusation and completely untrue. I challenge her to prove I’ve said anything of the sort. I will not read or respond to anything else. I will shut down my accounts again. I just felt I had to respond to this

On Edit again. Now Vasquez's account is sort of back again. (Maybe he'll break the Twitter software, it's acting strange, and It says I'm following him, but his account say's no one is following him, then in another place it say his account doesn't exist.)
