Vehicle plows into crowd on Bourbon St., with 14 fatalities (5 Viewers)

This is what I'm thinking as the time was 3:20. Sure there were still people out but probably much less than closer to midnight.

I saw someone on national news say that too, but i dont know- 3am in NOLA is way more crowded than any other city at 12am on new year’s … technically i guess the people on that part of Bourbon may have been packed in like canned fish instead of sardines.. then again, sardines ARE canned fish, so i dont know …

With two major sporting events taking place in the city, the NCAA & NFL can't be happy with how she described this incident. She definitely fumbled her time behind the mic this morning. Not a good look by a mayor.
I am no fan of Cantrell, but I think you're being overdramatic again. Link gives a decent explanation as to why the mayor and the FBI are saying two different things.

And to your point about future events, that's not going happen. Is the NFL going to stop having events in New York, Atlanta, L.A., who have experienced far worse events then this? No. Neither will be the case here.

I hope we can focus on the lives lost or injured today and not these assumptions that have nothing to do with it.

Mos def can't compare 3 am in NOLA to any other city even on NYE.

I just happen to know someone who owns a pest control company that does a good bit of work down there. Yeah, it’s a losing battle, but they try…🪳🪳🪳

Long as I'm not consciously eating an insect, dead or alive, there is a certain amount of out of sight, out of mind you need to employ in order to eat in NOLA.

ETA: And that's whether it's a hole in the wall place on up to you name it.

Husband saw a rat running across the street in a live video earlier.
When the rats are scared you know it's bad.
OMG, I wish I had seen that. But I do know that ROUS's do, in fact, exist in NOLA from first hand visual and aural evidence. I'm looking at my chihuahua right now. I would say it's comparable.

WDSU talking to Councilman Oliver Thomas indicating he's spoken to the 2 police officers who were shot. Said conscious, up and about, family members there.
