today, polyphia released a new 'song' (hard to know what to call an instrumental only, whatever), featuring steve vai. yep, that steve vai.

the day after i posted about them recently, they released a song called 'abc' which is forking great, if you consider the difficulty of matching a lyricist with their play. i loved it. but, it also goes against the grain of what i normally like... so lol. a lot of people hate it. personally, i love it.

anyway, this release is just, holy fork, this is awesome.

For whatever reason this song has been stuck in my head for a while now. It's a change of pace, reflecting on how our perspective on life changes over the years. I'm not sure why I favor the Judy Collins cover over the original Joni Mitchell song. It's probably a both sides thing

I was in the mountains last night, drifting in and out of sleep, listening to the rain. I had netflix on, some crime drama functioning as white noise. This song came on in the show, had to shazam it. The video is very cool.
