Turner hasn't been healthy enough to get a decent contract. He showed up in one game....I'd rather just draft someone that can stay on the field.

Turner has the talent. I just could never trust him to be healthy. Young will command too much money. The Saints can get just as much production from a draft pick.
Was happy for Cam. That was a big play at a big moment. But whenever he was in the game they just ran right at him over and over and over. I about it lost it towards the end when we had him dropping over the middle in pass coverage.Fair question but remember i said cheap. Foskey has done even less and Cam Jordan should retire. One sack yearerday feels like a huge accomplishment for Cam at this point.
One thing to keep in mind with Young is we could actually save money by re-signing him to a modest longer term deal. His cap hit next year is 9.5 million, we could sign him to say a 3/36 deal and lower that hit to around 4 million. My money would be on Chase being re-signed as he is still a young good player.Turner has the talent. I just could never trust him to be healthy. Young will command too much money. I believe Chase is in the top 5-10 in QB pressures, he hasn’t gotten to the QB and have the sack numbers, but he has been one of the most effective pass rushers in the league.I seriously do not know what you guys are seeing. What I saw yesterday and most of the year is a line that needs to be revamped, that includes all the coaches on that defensive side. I failed to see anyone winning one on one matches. I see a line that given up massive amount of runs. We are one of the worst in the league in pressures. Those two player mentioned wouldn't bother me at all if they decide to leave. Turner benefited from a guy tripping on himself and got an easy sack. Talking about a guy with 2 total sacks all year and allegedly spitting on a injured player, and fined for hit on a defenseless player. Turner demeanor seems more cocky this year than previous but he is still very underwhelming on the field. I will say that he needs to start ahead of Cam Jordan. Cam... Beside that one sacks but OMG. Not going go there yet.
Chase has been a disappointment. He is not a big disappointment but I expected way more just because of how dominant he was in training camp. This is a guy, who is a freak of nature coming out of college, hasn't live up to that hype in his career. Although that sack pretty much seal the game for us, he didn't play well most of the day. He had his moments this year but to re-sign him to another big contract is absurd. Maybe if he decide to take a way lower offer, I just don't see any reason to keep him.
If the Saints sign him…he’ll be hurt and rarely play. If the Saints don’t sign him he’ll turn into a pro bowler with a better sports med teamIf he plays like he did yesterday I would
My thoughts exactly. We got gashed with the run and little pressure on the QB. If one of the best kickers in the league had gone 2-for-3 yesterday then we would have lost. It is always fun to beat the Falcons but this D-line is bad.I seriously do not know what you guys are seeing. If one of the best pass catching running backs in the league catches the easiest pass of his life yesterday those missed field goals mean nothing. My thoughts exactly. That actually makes alot of sense, they were trying to scheme a pass rush instead of beating they man 1 v1. I know alot 3 - 4 schemes DL hold the Offensive Line and contain while the linebackers get to the QB. What was weird it always look like we had to DL holding the line but there were never any LB coming through. It's like he had the perfect player in Baun to do it then we never played him. The more info coming out the more i'm like what was DA doing fr frOne change they made on the D-line besides Brian Young taking over for Grantham was they gave a mandate to the DE’s to get to the quarterback (funny right?)
Apparently before with all the exotic stuff they were trying the players didn’t like it.
