You can't cut Carr next year, so who can fix him? (3 Viewers)

I've watched them but I think he's done well with Cassel, he took on a bad situation in Washington but I don't put that on him. The team is nosediving.
It's Sam Howell. And he's a decent QB. But the play calls come from EB. I've watched most of their games since I live in suburban DC. EB is just not a good (more like terrible) situational play caller this season.

Carr is a coach killer - you know a player too physically gifted/drafted too high/or too expensive of a free agent not to play but makes far too mistakes. The Coach is forced to play them and it eventually costs them their jobs. Carr killed all his coaches with the Raiduhs and is now proceeding to do the same with the Saints. The Saints next HC has to be given to power to get rid of him.

First we have to look at who has already fixed a broken QB.
Obviously Ben Johnson fixed Goff to where he is exceeding expectations.
Brian Johnson has helped mold Hurts into a better passer and he could do wonders with inserting packages designed for TH7.

Next I’d look at Frank Smith from the Dolphins bc he knows how to scheme WRs open and he always finds a way to keep their running game moving despite injuries. Not sure if he’s HC material, but the same can be said for any of the OCs who have no HC experience.

After that, I would have to give Ken Dorsey some consideration (for OC), but he’s implosive, so he’s last resort for me. Good OC, just implosive.

Then, I would raid the assistant staff of the 49ers, Ravens, and Eagles for Oline and Defense.
Brian Johnson and Frank Smith are OC's in name only, Just like Bieniemy. It's McDaniels and Sirianni calling plays and designing the offense. They are not the ones really responsible for the success

He's gonna be what 33? You just better off abandoning him. Let him start as you spend 100% of their energy on a rookie QB

I tend to agree. The Carr and Wilson situations get compared, but I don’t think it is the same. I posted this elsewhere when someone said Carr can be brought back to life like Wilson:
I disagree, just 2yrs ago with decent coaching DC put up pretty good #'s and if Gruden had not resigned it would have been better and probably a better record than they had @ 10-7. I think the more comparable situation is Goff's or even Geno Smith. Someone like Johnson or Waldron could do the same thing with DC. But what people fail to realize is the regression of the ENTIRE team under DA, PC and Marrone. It's an undisciplined bunch WR's blowing routes or not knowing the play. Abysmal Oline play. Stupid pre-snap plays. Just eliminating the bonehead mistakes and getting the Oline back to pre 2021 playing level elevates not only the offense but the QB play. It's not like DC is the only issue

Of course Ben Johnson is the obvious choice , Maybe Shane Waldron Beware of in name only OC's like Frank Smith or Bieniemy or Brian Johnson. They are not the ones responsible for their team's offensive success

carr was not a good QB when he was with the raiders, dennis allen was not a good coach when he was with the raiders, and now that they are together again in new orleans, well they suck again, dennis allen is not head coach material, he should have stayed as the DC, either put jameis or taysom in, that is our only hope to have a winning season and make it back to the playoffs.
I don't know why the downvote.

If Carr is ranked 36th of 36th within the 20, isn't the simplest solution just to pull him once the ball is within the 20? The same way basketball teams pull a bad free throw shooter in the closing minutes?

I could see holding back from doing this for developmental/confidence reasons if it was Carr's first or second year, but he's on the tail end of his career and still hasn't figured out the red zone. Why not just accept him for who he is and let inside the 20 be Jameis/Hill time? I think the fans would love it. Line up Carr at WR for a few times--maybe he could catch inside the 20 better than he throws??

Why are we overthinking this? Embrace the Frankenquarterback.

It's all on PC. Stop calling options plays. It's blatantly obvious he and the WRs are reading the defense differently. Not saying Carr becomes top 10 but at least 11-15. And with this schedule that would be good enough for a winning record.

Reid was the playcaller and that's probably being exposed now that EB is on his own.

Nick Sirianni isn’t the play caller in Philadelphia, it is Johnson. That being said, he isn’t very good and the offense, whilst obviously still functional, isn’t anywhere near as explosive as last season. Everything looks harder than it needs to be and it feels like the talent they have is overcoming poor play calling.

Gruden signed Mariota for this reason, and Mariota couldnt stay healthy, like his whole career.

Mariota didnt throw passes for the Raiders, the whole idea was to run it in the red zone.

Carr catch in the end zone? Thats LOL, Hes terrified to commit to play action.

He just kinda half arses it because hes never thought it was a weakness in his game, but it is and huge.

Gruden did not have a 10-7 record; he was 3-2 when he resigned over racist, homophobic, sexist e mails on his company computer.

He shared topless pictures, I mean WTF kinda idot does this at work?

Secondly how would that work for an NFL team full of diversity?

He is an idiot, that would get you fired at WAL MART, making minimum wage, let alone making millions in the NFL.

Yall want this guy to lead your team?

Ive seen Gruden twice , and Im good with never seeing him again,
