Is that Brian in the background?
Patterson%E2%80%93Gimlin_film_frame_352.jpg

Definitely.

Dog the Bounty Hunter says, Brian is alive as of 10p.m. Tuesday, and that he and law enforcement are on his trail. Source is from TMZ and reported by a Youtuber. So, who knows if the story is true?!?!

4 dead within a week's time, 2 dead in Wyoming (Gabby and Robert), and 2 ladies found dead (Krystal and Kyle) in Utah, with gun shot wounds. Robert Lowery's cause of death is still being investigated.

National Parks are like the most peaceful places on earth, why would someone want to ruin their vacation, by going on the run? Do we have a new serial killer on the loose, or just a couple of really bad campers?

Maybe someone ran out of money, while on their trip, and went crazy? Another thought, why would Brian offer $200 to hitch a ride, but there is a warrant on his arrest, for using Gabby's credit/debit card? That doesn't add up, was it all for an alibi, or just going through a psychological manic phase?!?!

Brian Laundrie's parents admit, they went on camping trip, after son returned home, and before Gabby was officially missing.

Robert Lowery: Body of missing hiker discovered in same Wyoming forest where Gabby Petito was found

It says that Lowery was found on a "steep, timbered slope" in the "same national forest" as Petito.

Sounds like a hiking accident (fall) and that forest is 3.4 million acres.

Between four to seven people die in national parks every week. And I'm pretty sure that doesn't include national forests. They are dangerous places and the vast, vast majority of those deaths are not homicide.

Scared of heights isn't something you need to over come, it's common sense, that should be acknowledged. I seen mountain bikers ride on edge of a cliff at high speeds, with very little room for error. That is just asking for trouble.

The two ladies and Gabby are ruled as a homicide, so if Lowery's death is an accident, then you made a very good call. We shall see in a week or two how things play out.

People need to start slow and do their homework, before venturing out solo on a massive hike. My 6th grade teacher almost died from going on hike during 6th grade camp, he got lost, and was severely dehydrated, but made it back.

I'm sure others weren't as fortunate, what was that movie called, where that rock climber cut his arm off? Don't go on hikes solo, if you are not familiar with the area, seems like solid advice. Going solo on long hikes or mountain bike trips with very little traffic, also seems incredibly careless.

Agree, hiking alone is careless - hiking alone in a place like that is borderline reckless.

The women couple were in some sort of campground where people live, longer-term, correct? Not a national park. Not that it matters, just clarifying.

TMZ has been incredibly accurate in their reporting so this has a high probability of being true.

I believe Brian Laundrie is or became a control freak while the vanlife trip was happening. Many that paid close attention to that moab police cam footage seem to believe he's also a narcissist. Now imagine a guy like that on the run, he's not in some random place where its hard to control the variables. He is in a place he knows and is comfortable with. If its true that he is a control freak, he will increasingly start making mistakes once he's out of his comfort zone, the more he loses control of whats going on, the more mistakes he's going to make. I also think he's moving at night, backtracking between several points.

The main issue I have with the whole Carlton Preserve thing is that he knows its the rainy season, that would complicate things in trying to move around. Paths becoming flooded out, he probably was there, but I doubt he's still there. He may have left stuff behind there on purpose to keep the authorities busy.

Yep, I've got some experience hiking and backpacking in both Yellowstone, and Shenandoah parks and the Rangeley Lakes area in Maine and Mount Washington in NH....conditions can change on a dime, if you don't have the right gear it can be a matter of severe injury or death. Mother nature doesn't mess around.....nice post....

Yeah, at the root of it is just hubris and a basic disrespect for nature. Like a Darwinist version of those idiots who try to take a selfie with [insert wild animal name here]. I do feel bad for their families but a bad result is fairly predictable.

Some interesting data analysis on deaths in national parks. Drowning is the most common cause of death. Not counting vehicle accidents (which aren't really a function of the park though distractions within the park play a role), the second leading cause of death is falling.

Homicide doesn't even make the chart, it is extremely rare. Keep in mind that national park lands receive some 250 million visits per year.

TMZ was the first one reporting the unfortunate death of Kobe and the crash so if TMZ says it, I tend to believe it unless its way way out there.
