Right, not Strief. Someone else mentioned Strief and followed down that path. Stinchcomb.

His arm strength is good enough, He threw a 15yd out to the wide side of the field with zip and anticipation, A rocket arm is not really necessaryThe problem with the Brees assessment is that he is hardly a neutral observe--what else would you expect him to day. It is unfair to judge him on one game. But it does seem the camp assessments by Duncan and Underhill were much too rosy. I do not question his intangibles. I doubt question his size and his arm strength, which to me seems marginal.
The ball seems to rocket out of his hands…..I was highly impressed
Haener’s arm was as weak as advertised, if he did not play for the Saints we wouldn’t be talking about him at all. Only a Saints announcer would call that pass he made a “bullet”.

Really? I thought he rebounded well after a bad start. His arm was not Ian Book 2.0 and I see potential.Haener’s arm was as weak as advertised, if he did not play for the Saints we wouldn’t be talking about him at all. Only a Saints announcer would call that pass he made a “bullet”.
Touche, to middle with RJ I may be going out of my way to praise Haener. In a nutshell he looked competent, like he belonged.I think the only observation I’d offer some disagreement about is describing his play as “above average” - though if you mean relative to rookie QBs making their NFL preseason debut, you could be right.
I thought Haener showed promise, however, and I think that’s all there is to reasonably hope for at this point in his journey.
His arm strength looked fine to me. It wasn’t something I really had concerns about but he had good velocity on his sideline throws and he rips the ball quickly and with confidence. If he doesn’t pan out, it won’t be because he can’t make the necessary throws.
He started off 2/7 with a pic. You could see he had a case.of the nerves in his first game. After that he went 8/10 with a TD when he settled down.
He finished 10/17 105 yards 1 pic and 1 TD
