No, don't want the team sold, period. We have good ownership in Gayle Benson. I believe and have faith the ship will be righted.

Agree, that's why we get the word 'fan' from 'fanatic'... Heck, I'm probably even guilty of it myself on occasion...They are not considering the consequences of what they are typing.
Were the Saints not in contention for a playoff spot, including a possible wild card spot, even after they played their final game?OMG. So if you criticize the organization, you want the team sold. And on the side, you are engaging in mass hysteria and have developed a herd mindset--and then there was something about hanging the innocent.
No, I do not want the team sold, which is not going to be an easy task if the objective is to sell the team to someone who would never relocate the franchise. But I do want those at the top to hold people accountable, and I want those at the top to be held accountable.
The reason that Dennis Allen was named head coach--the rationale stated--was the belief that the Saints were in fact a contending team, that we did not want major change but instead wanted to largely keep doing what we had been doing, and that Allen represented continuity. Some on this board disagreed with the premise that the Saints were a contending team, believed that major change was needed, and thought Allen a poor choice for head coach. I believe the last two seasons suggest that those questioning Loomis and his actions in recent years were right. Let's see what happens in the next 12 months.
Bite your tongue.Maybe a descendant of John Meacom could buy it.
We seem to be caught up with arguments based on the extremes. However, there is a general feeling that there is no accountability coming from ownership at this point. Lucky is on cruise control with a job for life.
These are the historical model franchises, and many of them are associated with the original teams:
Pitt
KC
Giants
Ravens(?)
I'm not saying these are the only good owners, but these are the franchises that have put consistent winners on the field and have solid organizational structures over a long period. When coaches don't win, you know the organization has the proper people to right the ship. Due to the nature of our current structure, I'm not too confident about what will happen in the future. I may be wrong, but Lucky Loo is accountable to no one, and he seems to be digging in on a bad decision, in my view.
Time will t
I have a feeling a lot of people here won’t recognize the name MeacomBite your tongue.
I agree, we could get an owner like Jerry Jones and have his nose in everything.Gayle should not sell the team. I don’t think she is a bad owner bc she stays in her lane and is drama free. I love the fact that our owner is not a subject of bad publicity like some owners. That is a breath of fresh air.
Who buying? The Raisin Canes
RousesWho buying? The Raisin Canes dude?
Randy, I have felt your pain when it comes to this forum. I have been on here since it was called ironera.com ditka was the coach. Posters on here rarely like to have a good discussion about the team, they just want to tear them apart. I feel like the team is in good hands , just very conservative hands. THey have never been a team that makes quick emotional decisions. Yes that frustrates me at times however i think that we have the best ownership in the NFL. I also think that between Dennis Lausha and Mickey Loomis we are in great hands. They are very methodical in moves. If we weren't we wouldn't be in the salary cap situation that we are in. Mickey invests in the future , sometimes i don't understand it but i have to respect his decisions. I met him on the golf course one day at TPC avondale he was in the group behind me. It was a slow day and i saw him while i was on the tee box. It was right before Payton left . They had a difficult season covid, no fans, we played 5 different starting qbs. I just told him thank you. I waited 40yrs before we won a superbowl. I honestly never thought i would ever experience that as a Saints fan. I told him i was good for the rest of my life. He said that he wasn't! He said we should have had 3 at least under Brees. So I really feel like he's not finished and wants more and will do whatever it takes to do it again. I really feel like he thought SP was coming back and just wanted a year off. I think that took him off guard. I don't think he thinks that DA is the answer but doesn't want to bail on him a year too early. I am a fan of DA as DC not HC. I think and i've said it on this forum. If we got Jon Gruden to come help with the offense. He would make Carmichael better, he would make Carr better and he would light a fire under DA. DA needs help he's not a leader. He's needs to show some emotion and not be so passive. Gruden would chew him up and spit him out. So here you go . Here is my discussion. The team can't be sold based on succession until Gayle dies and it has to stay in NOLA. Lausha and Loomis are really the owners per se. They are not going any where until they want too! WHODAT!
It's a sad day when one game above .500 and missing the playoffs, in the worst division in the NFC, is celebrated.I'm also a long term member since the Ironera.com days.
This is the worst I've ever seen Saints fans talk about their team!
I don't think it helps that this site now allows people to call each names via its emjoi's...
The site is becoming more and more like Tigerdropping.com
It has been years since I've log into "Tigerdroppings" because of this type of constant negative postings.
It is pretty sad when a winning season draws this type of negativity.
Some posters act as if we only won 3 games!
Yep. We won a Superbowl. Expectations are higher now. It's a sad day when one game above .500 and missing the playoffs, in the worst division in the NFC, is celebrated.
Just because I ate a bunch of ramen noodles and Rally's in college does mean I want to go back to that. Most people who achieve more don't want to lower bar and I don't get that rationale. NO ONE WANTS TO GO BACK TO SPORTS POVERTY. For the bulk of my life, my home team sucked, and from 2006-21, we had the expectation of being a championship team, and some posters think it's okay to settle for a mediocre product. I can understand folks saying give it one more year but this lowering of expectations under Lucky andis some bullshirt.
