Even year Logano...that is all.
It's funny to me because, after the Kenseth incident, (I wasn't even a Kenseth fan tbh) I was a Logano hater and actively rooted against him. Yet now, I think he's one of the best on the circuit and I find myself in his corner. I think he just needed time to grow up in the industry.

Yeah, I like Logano for the most part. I'm a 23XI fan first and Trackhouse second. But Blaney and Logano I like as well.

Just crazy that he went from out of the playoffs last week to back in because of Bowman's DQ and he comes out and locks himself into the champ 4. Nuts.

I thought the race today was great stuff. A lot of action - playoff cars with all sorts of trouble. A dominant car getting behind on a strategy choice and having to try to close it in the final laps. Very entertaining

I don’t really like him - though I have never disliked him. I think he readily admits that his personality isn’t the kind that wins most popular driver, and he annoys me with all of that blocking on superspeedways. But one thing is certain - he’s a hell of a stock car driver.

Wait, Malcolm in the Middle is becoming a full-time NASCAR driver?

Yes - He will be driving a full-time entry in the Nascar truck series next year. It’s basically the third tier. It’s not the Cup series (which is what it usually means when someone casually refers to a “Nascar driver”).

He started racing in 2004 and has been steadily moving into more serious series. He ran the ARCA series full time in 2021 and that’s basically one step down from the truck series.

The team he signed with is not a front-runner but if he runs well with that team, he can probably move to a better team in the series - that’s how it typically goes. But he’s 38, it’s highly unlikely that he ever gets a full-time ride in the Cup series (except possibly some back of the field team based on his ability to bring funding).

He’s been doing this a long time now. He’s a professional race car driver.

Aaaahhh, truck. Okay, gotcha. I obvs don't follow NASCAR as closely as I used to.

Incredible drive by Blaney today! These last few weeks he has looked so controlled and focused. I hope he has something left in the tank.

Nascar ruling about Bell partially riding the wall the last lap while ignoring the blatant collusion to protect Byron's spot is a sham. Penalize both or don't.

I guess Mr. Hendrick's check cleared, lol.

Yeah, that was wild that the 3 and the 1 were clearly acting as a Chevy escort to the 24 - and the announcers never said a thing about it, it was obvious.

But I'm not sure that what the Chevys did is a clear penalty, but riding the wall is. Plus, the 23 just basically stopped.

Fwiw there was absolutely clear communication between Dillon and his crew. He went so far as to ask if the 1 car understood the deal. Nascar is going to have to address that this week.

And, I can't stand that the manufacturers are pushing race manipulation. Both Toyota and Chevy are guilty of it.

Fwiw, Bubba told his crew chief he felt like a tire was going down with 3 laps to go and the response was to nurse it home. Not sure I buy that, lol. Of course I'm sure Nascar will check his tires.

I didn't like Nascar changing their stance to no wall riding after Chastain did it and I didn't like it here. Bell didn't actually gain anything from it because he was already ahead of Bubba. Bell could have easily made it without the wall ride and Nascar has to directly address the race manipulation. This let them off the hook, maybe.
