While the New Orleans Saints have been consistently linked to Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders in this year’s NFL Draft, the rumors and speculation has always felt at least unlikely to come to fruition.
Head coach Kellen Moore didn’t attend Colorado’s pro day, the Saints never had Sanders in for a top-30 visit, and the noise coming from Colorado head coach Deion Sanders was too loud not to be doubted.
Even after the explosive Derek Carr injury news, things didn’t feel like they were really about to shift for New Orleans in the draft. The Saints have never proven to be a reactionary team, sometimes operating with too much patience.
It seems that our suspicions that the Saints weren’t enthralled with Sanders wasn’t so farfetched.
In a recent episode of NOLA.com’s Saints Insiders podcast, Times-Picayune columnist Jeff Duncan shared the intel he’s gathered surrounding the Sanders rumors.
“I have talked to people, not anybody in position to first-hand make this call,” Duncan said. “But I have talked to people that say Shedeur Sanders is not going to be under consideration at 9.” ...
The New Orleans Saints’ quarterback drama continues to circle, and the silence is deafening. Hear what former Saints LB Scott Shanle had to say about the subject this week on WWL and Audacy.

For a mock draft shared by ESPN's Matt Miller on Thursday, an anonymous AFC West scout explained why the Saints should select Texas A&M pass-rusher Shemar Stewart over Sanders at choice No. 9.

The assumption for most of the offseason has been that Shedeur Sanders will go at some point over the first 10 picks of the 2025 NFL Draft. He wasn’t really looked at as a possibility for the Pittsburgh Steelers until he came in for a pre-draft visit late in the process. Suddenly it doesn’t seem […]

Consider a quarter of the league in play for Sanders. There are the usual suspects (Giants, Browns and Saints), but don't discount the Raiders, Cardinals and Dolphins.

It’s official. New Orleans Saints OT Ryan Ramczyk is retiring from the NFL. Ramczyk made the announcement via his Instagram account earlier tonight.
“What an incredible journey it’s been. My path to the NFL wasn’t a straight line, it wasn’t the story most people expect. There were moments when people doubted me, moments when I doubted myself. It’s funny how life works out. Sometimes the road less traveled leads to places you never expected, but it ends up being exactly where you were meant to be. Today I reflect on all the twists and turns that got me to this point, from technical college...
Today, the NFL announced the legends and active players representing all 32 clubs who are currently scheduled to make selections in Rounds 2 and 3 of this year’s NFL Draft in Green Bay. Representing the New Orleans Saints is OT Ryan Ramczyk, who will announce the team’s selections.
Ramczyk was drafted by the Saints in the first round (32nd overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. The pick that was used to draft Ramczyk was acquired in a trade with the New England Patriots in exchange for Brandin Cooks.
In his first season in New Orleans, he was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. He was also twice...
The NFL announced today the Legends and active players representing all 32 clubs currently scheduled to make selections in Rounds 2 and 3 of this year’s NFL Draft in Green Bay.
Adam Rank of NFL Network published his latest NFL mock draft; however, this time, it comes with a twist. Instead of predicting what teams will do, his latest mock draft focuses on what he believes they should do.
So, when the New Orleans Saints were on the clock at nine, he had them adding Will Johnson, a cornerback out of Michigan, to their roster. This pick comes with prospects like Mason Graham, Teteiora McMillian, and Sheduer Sanders still on the board.
“Don’t be scared off by the uncertainty around Johnson’s unknown 40 time, Saints,” Rank said. “...take a swing on a new potential...
We are neck deep in NFL Draft mock season and ESPN has dropped a new one on us this morning from Mel Kiper Jr. and Field Yates. These picks are based on what they’re hearing and how each team might tackle roster needs. Additionally, they took turns making the selections. Alright, now I’ll jump to the selections for the New Orleans Saints.
If they go QB and Sanders is on the board, it’s hard to see them doing anything different here, and I get it. For all the what has been at times Lavar Ball-esque noise from Coach Prime, I don’t feel like Shedeur has done anything to scare me off of him...
The New Orleans Saints could be a potential landing spot for Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
Ramsey and the Dolphins have mutually agreed to part ways, per ESPN. The veteran cornerback spent two seasons with Miami, but as the team looks to get younger, they'll look to move on from the nine-year veteran.
Ramsey has connections to Saints defensive coordinator Brandon Staley and praised his former defensive play caller on Twitter/X after signing with New Orleans, calling him “the best defensive coordinator that I’ve had for sure in the NFL.”
