I don't care for extreme temps in winter or summer. I despise the heat and humidity of our summer. That doesn't
mean I enjoy freezing my arse off. Lows in the 50's,and highs in the 70's are perfect conditions in my opinion.

High water brings out a lot of critters - snakes, gators, hornets, fire ants, etc.

Rats as well. They are powerful swimmers and can tread water for 3 days.

The last fatal gator attack was last year. Looks like Louisiana only has one fatal attack and it was in Slidell a couple years ago.

You made me search. The couple were staying in their flooded house after Ida. The husband was walking around
in flood waters when the gator attacked. It's tragic,but not a wise choice by the victim to put himself in that position.

Yep. I didn't know the people but I'm close to Slidell so I really remember that story. And reading those stories, some of them surprise me at apparently how they were attacked. I mean they don't attack you alive, they roll you and drown you. Some of those stories make it seem different. But a couple of them they were trying to save their dogs and so maybe that makes the gator attack you.

Umm, I've seen too many videos where people are petting gators to believe all of the dialogue of that story. I think for the most part if you leave the gators alone, they will for the most part tend to leave you alone.
