I think the best chance for real high end flooding in the Carolinas is the next 24 hours. Certainly not a sure thing but at least it isnt a dumb forecast like the last two days.

Did you go to Buc’ees?

The center is about 65 miles straight east of Charleston and sustained winds are supposedly near 60 mph - but it says the winds are all east of the storm.

We’ve literally had no wind at all today

Rooting hard for that solution but not ruling anything out yet.

As you routinely point out, timing is everything ( troughs, highs, fronts etc )

I'm just happy today to see them point to fish storm. That, of course, subject to change Sunday lol

I am currently in Vermont thru-hiking the AT. I have come off trail for a couple days to let Debbie and all her rain and winds pass me by. Rain I can hike in(but not like). High winds tho will get me off the mountains.
Good call. Winds wont be THAT bad but heavy rain plus wind will knock trees down. Trees scare me more than any weather.

Ugh flying out of Boston tomorrow. I hope Debby doesn’t get me twice.

Tree falling, because of Debby, on a bedroom killed a 19 yr old in my town, and we didn't even get the brunt of it. (South Ga)
The first thing I did when I bought my property in 92 was have every pine tree removed That was a danger of falling
on my home.
