A microcosm of Winston’s career (2 Viewers)

Peyton Manning maybe who would say give me the reins and get out of the way.
You got me there...haha. QBs that have moved like Peyton, Brady (he only ran Arians' system for 1/2 a season..lol), and Rodgers got the juice to say this is the offense that I'm running and this is what we are going to do...

LOL...glad family travel made me miss all of the craziness the past few days..haha.

Actually, it was more of the offense/scheme that allowed better choices. People talks about how CSP's playbook and calls are outdated , etc, etc but the fact is he still knows how to build around a player. Finally got to finish the game yesterday and it is no reason the run should have been abandoned when we got to 1 possession. He had some bad throws but it wasn't as bad as folks are trying to make it. I would take good with the bad, as long as it puts us in position to win. But I've also been one to say that I didn't care about interceptions when Drew was top 3 a lot of seasons and I don't care now. Scoring wins more. If we had more scoring early instead of that slow start, the game might have been different.
Yeah, I had a feeling this game was going to be over when we're throwing every single down. When the pass rush got worse, why not run the ball? It was such a bad sequence o events.

And sadly, 3 points with 0TDs/0 INTS in 2 1/2 quarters will always look better than 16 points and 2TDs/2INTs in 1 1/2 to some, for their reasons.

THIS....all day long.....it seems that some think Carr would've just come on and scored those TD's as well (LMAO) and all of JW's TD's are just plain luck.....it would be sad if it weren't so.....ridiculous....

Possibly... but he's the only QB on the roster with the physical capabilities and "gravity" to change the defense's we face, the plays that can be called, and create off schedule with his legs to produce game changing big plays and momentum shifts... every number known to football says... Taysom is the answer.

I actually kind of agree......Until he gets hurt.....he was never going to be the long term solution at QB.....but it's cute that you don't give up hope.....

It's not hope... It's what I see. He's the only guy that has played QB for us in the last 3 seasons that consistently wins, makes winning plays, creates momentum, and puts fear in an opposing defense... he also forces this horrible coaching staff to play a different / complementary brand of football... what's cute is that some fans and these coaches believe that we can keep rolling the same backup level pocket passers out there in a league dominated by mobile QBs... and do anything but be mediocre.

NO. its last Sundays Josh Allen. Their fanbase is mind-effed and divided just like our own fanbase. As a Saints fan, its a rarity to have this dilemma. Our past Qbs were easily judged through their own lack of ability. But to have a guy with the ability, but also risky, is hard to quantify. The NFL is a business selling dopeamine in the form of excitement. Josh Allen and JW deliver the dopeamine, but are pulled over by the cops for driving dirty right after. (By the way, nice job guessing correctly)
I remember that being a knock on Josh Allen coming in (when he couldn't complete 60% of his passes). He had a freaking cannon for an arm but that got him in trouble. Building the offense around Diggs really changed his trajectory.
The crazy thing about last night's game is, yeah, Allen had his turnovers but he also led the comeback. Defense dropped the ball here.

But I feel what you are saying. Something that I've said and I still stick with is I care more about scoring touchdowns than interceptions. I've seen Drew throw plenty of game sealing interceptions and it didn't bother me that much because more often than not, he kept us in those games. I know we crap on Sneaky Pete but something I've felt is this is Dennis Allen's vision for the offense (while Sneaky Pete didn't pay attention in class for 16 years..lol).

I don't know what would have happened had Carr stayed in the game.. I certainly didn't see those scores versus Jacksonville happening towards the end of that game until they actually occurred.. but yeah, based upon what was happening for most of the game against Minnesota I wouldn't have expected the offense to come alive under Carr but you really just don't know.

I don't chalk up Jameis' two touchdown throws to luck.. he and the receivers made a couple of great plays and it gave us a chance. Not sure that one to Perry is very repeatable LOL but Jameis made it happen.

That throw was basically like a trust fall...lol. He trusted AT more than I did when I saw it let go. But I also know that if Mahomes made the exact same throw, majority of the board would be cleaning up after themselves playing what if about the 2017 draft.

The thing with Mahomes however is that he pulls off crap like that while minimizing mistakes.. which is why he's at a different level than every other QB.

In fairness that's Winston's whole approach to playing QB, a lot of his passes are to receivers who are "not" open, but he will place it high and let his receivers go make a play on the ball.

He's comfortable throwing 50/50 and jump balls.

and while falling down or throwing side armed, or while on the run eluding defenders

Like I said, for better or worse, Jameis trusts his receivers to beat any defender.

Because the other 90% of his throws are passes 7 yards and less to wide open player in space. Most of his interceptions comes off dumb passes...lol.

I'd start the rookie, but it's pretty clear at this point that Allen isn't gonna give up on Carr.

If money weren’t a factor, and if he has a good enough grasp of the playbook, I’d agree with this.

Sadly, the first element is not true, and the second one likely isn’t either, so we probably do need to stick this thing out with Carr for a good bit longer and hope it all gets figured out, even if it means seeing what he can do under a different OC.

I mean, that's how Jimmy got most of his touchdowns.

Obviously if Mahomes didn't have Andy Reid things probably would not "come as easy" as they do for him but Mahomes has incredible pocket awareness and poise and everything and so it's a combination of his very unique abilities and scheme and all.
