There was another one where people were trying to ride a beached dolphin - it ended up dying. I thought it was around here somewhere, but I can't find the news story.

I hope there were idiots that recorded that and some of the people responsible can be identified.

LONGWOOD, Fla. (AP) — A 42-year-old Florida bride and her 31-year-old caterer are accused of serving food laced with marijuana to unsuspecting guests at a wedding reception.

The women were arrested Monday following an investigation by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, according to court records. Both women were charged with tampering, culpable negligence, and delivery of marijuana and later bonded out of jail.

Investigators said in an arrest affidavit that guests began feeling ill during the Feb. 19 event at a clubhouse in Longwood, which is near Orlando. The report says 30 to 40 people attended the event.

Several people who said they felt “stoned” were taken to the hospital for treatment. The arrest report says several tested positive for THC, the psychoactive compound in marijuana.

A detective wrote in the report that guests said they had not been warned about the laced food. One man told deputies he was having a hard time operating his cellphone. Others said they felt paranoid and high.


Another guest told deputies that after feeling stoned, she asked the bride if cannabis was in the food and was told “yes” by the smiling bride, an affidavit said……

 
COCOA, Fla. — Police say they made an arrest in a bomb threat at Cocoa High School earlier this year.

According to a newly released report, a woman made the threat in a voicemail to the school on Feb. 3.

Officers say the message included several expletives but allegedly said that if the school did not feed the woman's son more, she would blow it up...........

PORT ORANGE, Fla. – Martin Reese was hired as an art teacher at Creekside Middle School just one week before he called in sick to work on Tuesday, but showed up to the school with large speakers to blast music while kids were taking the FSA test, according to Port Orange police.

Investigators said Reese took to social media, live streaming a 50-minute video, which is now part of the investigation into the incident.

In the video, Reese said, “We’re going to play music very loud, FSA testing is today and there’s a lot of students, a lot of kids stressed out about it.”

At times throughout the video that’s posted to his Instagram page, Reese talks to kids in the classroom……

A Florida man has been arrested after deputies say he shot his neighbor, infuriated the man was walking his dog on a golf course.

According to WPBF, Palm Beach County sheriff's deputies were called to Kings Point Golf Course around 7 p.m. Sunday for a report of gunfire.

Upon arrival, deputies found 64-year-old Herbert Merritt lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his ankle.

Nearby, they found 74-year-old Robert Levine, with a “black semi-automatic handgun in his front left pocket.”

Merritt told deputies he was walking his dog in the grass next to the golf course when Levine rode up in a golf cart. He reportedly began screaming at Meritt for having his dog on the golf course and opened fire.

Witnesses said Levine chased Merritt around a tree and continued to shoot. Witnesses also reported Levine kicking Merritt in the head and beating him with a golf club.............

I remember this as the school is down the road from my office. I am sad for the future of humanity and this country, and crap like this is one of the reasons.

An Eastern Iowa man is facing felony charges after police say he beat seagulls with a shovel on a Florida beach.

Police said Paul Flaucher, 30, Jesup, badly injured one of the seagulls, breaking its wing..........
