Here we go again............................at what point did I refer to my rights being violated, free speech, blah, blah, blah?
I merely stated a fact that the FBI, CIA, DOJ, White House leaned heavily on FB, Twitter, social media, to censor comments about Covid, that actually turned out to be true and not "misinformation".

Don't be so obtuse. You are clearly trying to establish that the federal govt overstepped its boundaries and had your free speech censored.

Why else bring up the FBI and administration etc?

Your words.

Sure seems like you're implying a mandate here.
Nope, Find where I said mandate. Censorship is censorship.
Now, were there mandates with social distancing, masks, etc. 100% !
And we all know that social distancing and masks were beneficial (no scientific data).
But at least we can agree that the government was pinching social media to censor.

Take obtuse somewhere else, Warden.
I said CLEARLY that the government was pinching social media to censor. You know it.

Not nearly enough. They did everything they could without violating the Constitution, but it wasn't enough to prevent some people from falling for misinformation and believing things like ivermectin was an effective treatment for covid.

You keep concentrating on ivermectin. What about the lab leak theory? What about the number of Covid infections being overblown by 33%? What about "exposing the lies concerning getting the van and not contracting or spreading Covid"? What about censoring RFK Jr. to the max?
You see, I'd bet quite a bit, that most are liberals that go along with censorship. That's not a political statement, for liberalism is an ideology.

I always thought it leaked from a lab. it was obvious.

I also know that it didn't matter at the time whether it came from a lab or not. Any time spend discussing that during the pandemic was time wasted that should have been used to deal with the pandemic.

Now is the time to discuss where it came from.

Who is censoring RFK? I see him everywhere all the time.

I 100% support what you are calling censorship, and wish the government had the authority to do a better job of it.

That way we wouldn't have people still believing in nonsense like ivermectin helps with covid.

Google it. It's pretty much common knowledge. Tahibi and Schellenberger testified in Washington. Zuckerberg admitted himself that the FBI leaned on FB to censor, erase or suspend accounts.

This is actually accurate.

Facebook removed content related to COVID-19 under pressure from the White House, including posts claiming the virus was man-made, according to internal company communications leaked to The Wall Street Journal.

“Can someone quickly remind me why we were removing — rather than demoting/labeling — claims that Covid is man made,” Nick Clegg, the company’s president of global affairs, asked in a July 2021 email to colleagues.

According to the outlet, a Facebook vice president in charge of content policy responded: “We were under pressure from the administration and others to do more,” referencing the Biden administration.

“We shouldn’t have done it,” the VP added.

Here is the story from the Wall Street Journal but it is behind a paywall.

Also I might add it's misleading and disingenuous to call ivermectin a horse dewormer when it is used world wide for human applications. Based on how it was labeled you would think it was ONLY used as a veterinary product and most people wanted that narrative to stick. And it is also known for it's anti-inflammatory properties. Here is a paper on 25 years of the use and efficacy of ivermectin.

Many drugs have off-label uses and because ivermectin was found to have anti-inflammatory properties many doctors were hopeful those properties would aid in dealing with the inflammation caused by covid.

It is easy to see billion dollar drug companies would be opposed to this. It's amazing to me how many people suddenly support drug companies who have had some of largest fines levied against them for unethical business practices and out right fraud.

It's still not government censorship. It wasn't mandated, and the businesses did monitor and delete posts. So the businesses did the censoring, and they were never mandated to.
Now, were there mandates with social distancing, masks, etc. 100% !
Technically, there was never a social distancing, mask or any other mandate. They were strongly recommended, but never legally had any teeth. So nope, no mandates at the federal level.
And we all know that social distancing and masks were beneficial (no scientific data).
There's plenty of data stating they were beneficial. Not that you would care though.
But at least we can agree that the government was pinching social media to censor.
Yes, if anything, they didn't press hard enough.

So we need government to decide what is information, and what is misinformation? No thanks.
We can do our own due diligence and decide for ourselves.

I don't deny Ivermectin has it's uses, but it's not an anti-viral and would be useless vs Covid.

So glad to see someone with common sense and open mindedness, to look beyond the censorship of the government.

Sure, but what we shouldn't do is make up our own contrived "facts" based on conjecture or opinions of uninformed individuals or our own anecdotal experiences.

We would all do well to do due diligence and make sure our sources are legitimate experience and not faux self-described "experts".
