Saw this play highlighted. I remember seeing it live and thinking that Rasheed was about to run a long way. Instead, Juwan whiffs his block and it goes nowhere.

Obviously that’s execution, but at what point are these repeated screw-ups by skill position players on the coaches? How are WRs still ending up in the same spot so much? How are we still seeing routes run improperly?

Pete isn't the detailed coach that Payton was and it has a trickle down effect with accountability.

The quote from Lutz after joining Denver said all that needs to be said. “I truly feel like my best years were with him because I was kind of scared to let him down.

No ones scared to let Allen or Carmichael down, specifically Carmichael because the defense while having moments of meh, still has carried their weight this year. It has the players searching for accountability with each other, the whole narrative of "not letting each other down" that used to be a "we can't let Sean down".

Does it not look like Juwan Johnson was reluctant to block? How do we solely blame coaching for a player’s hesitation?

You can blame coaching for not making sure Juwan knows what he’s doing. But Juwan has as much blame for knowing it’s a screen play and that he’s a blocker, but not blocking the immediate defender near the go to read receiver. Our players aren’t as good as we think they are, even in basic fundamentals. Juwan may not be where he should be at as a complete TE.

Moreau would’ve been the better TE to have in for blocking on a screen. But coaches used Juwan as a decoy.

I thought Johnson was just out there kickin' it. Thinkin about what slimmy was gonna pass by the crib later on, you know, the important stuff in life.

It didn’t seem to be an issue when CSP was here so I’m going with bad coaching.

We can’t block any screens, it’s been a problem all season. On first glance at that play, it looks like Hill blocked the wrong player because Johnson is looking to block the same guy, and Hill is further outside but blocks the inside defender. I wonder if Thomas was supposed to be lined up in either position, he left with an injury before this play.

What is our offensive identity? Can anyone answer that? If we don’t have one that’s all on the coaches.
We’re 10 weeks in. The players should be comfortable and playing with a bounce in their step, but instead there are too many plays like the one posted above where there is hesitation and confusion.

This is obviously just one play and Juwan screws it up. But the trend is repeated screw-ups and no accountability.

Would LOVE to know. Because that circles us right back to coaching.

FWIW- we had just run the ball to that spot- 8yd run by AK. 2nd and 2.

THATS the play that was called.

on 2nd and 2 at Vikes 44 yard line.

yall keep missing the fact that we are so out of sequence with play calling that is laughable. Why not, after gashing them for 8yds and only needing 2 for first, break our tendency and RUN the ball on 2nd and 2 ( from the gun- a draw ) ??

PC spending way too much time trying to outhink opposition DC and he ends up fooling himself.
