Comic Book Talk (2 Viewers)

There was a lot of great content there. Many writers and artists had subforums of their own and a lot of really great stuff was lost when they got rid of everything.
I can count on one hand perhaps the number of times I've been to CBR of late, and like you said, since NewsARama merged with GamesRadar, it's totally unreadable. And they continue to lose folks (several to ReedPop and PopVerse).

So...

The idiots at Marvel has decided to kill off Kamala Khan in the pages of Spider-Man for no apparent reason. The expected backlash was so bad that the rumor is that they purposely leaked the story and told series writer Zeb Wells to cancel convention appearances after the issue's release for safety reasons.
ASM has been in freefall ever since editorial prevented Nick Spencer from undoing the comic crime that is One More Day, and Zeb Wells hasn't done since taking over (add to it the terrible art from John Romita, Jr.).

I wonder if the "creatives" just have a bunch of multi-sided dice for different actions (kill, de-power, resurrect), different characters, etc and just roll them to determine the next storyline.

If Romita wasn't a nepo baby nobody would be paying him to draw anything these days. His art is horrible. I know it wasn't always this bad especially earlier in his career, but I can't even stand to look at it now.

American comics industry is in horrible shape. You're going to see a lot of upheaval and very soon.

Meanwhile manga dominates and is a collective cash cow.
DC is lining up more webtoons because they made a sheetton of money with the recent series to partnered with them on, particularly Wayne Family Adventures.
